    New here/gas pains

Gas pains were the worst part of the whole procedure! My 2nd day I had my wife bring out heating pad from home and I placed it longways down my back and it was incredible! I did that for about another 2 days, along with walking as much as possible, and it went away. 3 weeks post op now and feeling great. It gets much better, but anyone doing the surgery BRING A HEATING PAD! You'll be so glad you did! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  3. Shelter dog, I've read probably 50 people say they stall at 3 weeks or so. For both our sanity just know that it is very common and probably nothing related to what we are doing... but Journaling never hurts! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  4. I had my vsg June 23rd. 349 starting weight, 319 at surgery, currently 299. Boy it's great not looking at that 3 at the front of the scale... never again! I have been stuck at 299 for about 6 days but I understand the "3 week stall" is quite common... Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  5. Gas pains were the worst part for me. I walked a marathon in those hospital hallways and it was gone within a couple days. A heating pad works wonders at that stage! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  6. I am 17 days post op and had all kinds of things going through my head right after surgery. Be proud of yourself for worrying a bit... that means you are passionate and committed! A little fear can be a motivation if you don't let it overwhelm you. Follow the plan and you will do great. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

16 Days PO: food intake POLL?

I am 17 days post op and food type changes what I can tolerate. So far chicken I can do maybe two or three oz if most and properly chewed, beef is a no go still, grilled tilapia was great and was able to do 3-4 oz (tons of Protein and goes down easy!)
