  5. Hiya, tomorrow is my 5th week post op anniversary...I'm excited about learning so much about the changes in my body. I've learned that eggs are NOT MY THING...and if I don't chew 25-30 times.... I dump! Just as plain as that!!!...although...I DUMP ALOT ALREADY... I went back to work last week and notice how easy it is to wake up the nerves in my stomach....I'm still a little achy in certain parts of my tummy....especially standing on my feet nonstop....if at first you don't succeed.... TRY TRY AGAIN....SO..if I feel sick trying to eat ...I stop and try it again hours later...smaller bites....chew more...I've LEARNED TO GET IN MY Protein shakes EARLY...BECAUSE NOTHING ELSE IS GUARANTEED TO GO DOWN...I've learned not to compare my journey with others...NO TWO journeys ARE THE SAME....I've learned to STOP..AND BREATH....EVERYTHING Is Going TO BE GRAND...I'm Grateful for my opportunity and feel that I'm slowly getting my life back! 10. Yay....I am happy to announce that today is my 1 week surgerversry!! I've been working on this process since last year in September... Its kinda sad too because I'm not feeling well....first...I've been cooperate... Because of my recent dumping syndrome...secondly... I've been craving foods...mainly "pickles"...whewww!! So last night (don't judge me) lol...I was looking up this craving...I've always loved pickles...but due to the stomach issues beforehand... I couldn't really eat them...sooooo I had my hubby to go get me a pickle in the bag at 2am...smh...and I took the advice of one of the other bloggers that I read on this site .....I sipped the juice....and boy did was it amazing .....BUT...ONCE MY TUMMY STOPPED GROWLING AND MAKING OTHER UNIQUE NOISES....it came straight through my body in the form of liquid.. Aka...pee!!....its crazy that I did all of that...BUT I DID NOT BITE THE PICKLE... I closed the pack and put it up for next time...my body is showing me what's tolerated and what's not...still peeing pickle juice...lol...the madness....however...I have no regrets about my decision to have this surgery... Its going to be hard but just like anything else that I love...its worth the patience and time and so is JENNIFER Sent from my Z828 using the BariatricPal App

  12. Omg...I MUST GET RIGHT TO THE POINT MY FRIENDS... The last two days has been hell....ok so I hope I encourage someone to FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN..I had dumping syndrome this early in the game because I MADE BAD DECISIONS... No excuses...just bad decision making.... I ate a few bites of chicken when I wasn't supposed to eat ANYTHING...... I've suffered with ulcer, gastritis, and acid reflux among other things but NEVER AND I DO MEAN NEVER HAVE I FELT LIKE I DID FOR THOSE TWO DAY....!! Please please understand that I won't no sympathy... I did it to myself...but...my mother said.."bought sense, is better than no sense!" Glad it happened... And that it's over...positive feed back Sent from my Z828 using the BariatricPal App

  14. Hello all☺, my name is Jennifer. I just had my gastric bypass surgery on July 14th 2016. My starting weight before my pre-op diet is 296 pounds. My ending weight after pre op diet was 277 pounds. Therefore I lost about 19 pounds and 2 ounces before surgery. Surgery wasn't as horrible as I expected. It was and is still very painful being that I'm not one that can deal with a lot of pain. But I had some really good people on my side which made this process easier. My doctor was very happy that everything went well. Mainly because I followed the instructions of the diet (to the exact instructions) I also did the clear liquid diet all day the day before my surgery. The day of the surgery things went very smoothly. I have been dealing with my weight since about age 15. I have been gaining and losing anywhere from 80 to 100 pounds. Somehow, it seems to find it's way back into my world. I've decided to finally do something about it permanently. What scares me the most, is when my sister came to visit me last night from out of town. She had forgotten her insulin. She's only 2 years older than me and my mom had to give her some of her insulin because they take the same one. That's very scary you guys! I am 35 years old! I will be 36 this year in October and I'll take 13 bottles of medicine. The only thing that I am not taking medicine for right now is diabetes. Therefore, I knew I had to do something about my weight because I have an 18 year old son and a 13 year old daughter that needs me. I have a mother that has so many health issues that i need to be able to see after her. I also have so much support from my best friends. I decided to continue to see the psychiatrist after my required psych evaluation because I don't want this to happen again. He helped me to realize what my triggers were and why. What do I want? I just want a normal life, doing normal things, and like normal people. And this is my story and I'm sticking to it. Sent from my Z828 using the BariatricPal App

  22. Hi, guys????, my name is Jennifer and I am 7 days from my surgery date. I am nervous and doing my pre-op liver shrinking diet. I already can tell the difference. I know that I've lost some weight. I did not want to weigh myself before I started the liver shrinking diet. I guess you start to lose your appetite because your stomach is shrinking from not eating as much for two straight weeks. Anyways, my surgery date is July 16th 2016 in Memphis Tennessee...I'm excited and nervous Sent from my Z828 using the BariatricPal App
