  1. @@WLSResources/ClothingExch My anxiety wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I cried before going back to the holding area, but once they gave me anti-anxiety meds, I was feeling great, and I barely even remember anything after being brought into the OR. I gotta admit, the first 24 hrs were pretty brutal. The vomiting/nausea was awful, and they tried 4 different meds for it. The day after, it was a lot better, and now I just have awful acid reflux which I'm on meds for, and I know it's normal to suffer from it. So, would I do the surgery all over again? ABSOLUTELY! I'm not even a week out, and I already feel a huge difference. I guess there's other things my fiancé and I can do lol. But seriously, I'm definitely not feeling up to it just yet. 2. @@loca_lette813 I wouldn't worry just yet. It could definitely *just* be water retention. Are you due for your period? I had a hysterectomy, buy during that time of the month, I was always 5-8 lbs heavier. It's insane what our bodies go through! Always remember to weigh yourself on the same scale and same time of the day too! Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App
  3. Thank you for the advice! I'm only 5 days post-op, but my worst fear with this is not feeling full. This gives me such great hope! ☺ Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App
  4. I had surgery this past Monday, July 25th. My fiancé, of course, is ready. I'm still real relatively sore unless I take pain meds. My doctor didn't tell me not to or when to, all he said was not to have anything "rough" for a few weeks. How long did everyone wait? I'm kind of hoping losing my extra weight helps with my libido because ever since my hysterectomy, I've barely had a sex drive which really sucks. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

  12. My nut said that gummy multivitamins do not contain Iron and that I would need to take a separate iron supplement. Apparently it is not chemically possible for gummies to contain iron. I didn't want another Vitamin so I've opted for a regular chewable that has iron. @@SwampBillies I bought a huge bottle of the gummy multivitamins too. Before returning them, I'm going to ask my surgeon if they're allowed. My NUT recommended them, so I'm guessing it's okay? I don't know.. I guess it depends on the surgeon. 13. @@SwampBillies Aww, don't beat yourself up, sweetie. At least it was a salad and nothing more. You're getting closer! How are you feeling? I'm just anxious to get it over with! Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App @@SwampBillies I'll definitely be praying you'll be able to be sleeved at the time of surgery. At first, I wanted lap band surgery, but after talking to my surgeon, he said he really doesn't perform them because although it is the least invasive, it has a high complication rate and not a high success rate. Did you lose weight with the band? Congrats on your 9 lb loss! I haven't weighed myself because I'm scared I'll get discouraged. 14. @@Mudgy6 Ohhhh....lol. I was told not to start Vitamins until a week after my surgery. I didn't even know you could use vitamin patches. I'll definitely have to look into them. I bought gummies and sublingual vitamins pre-op. Patches make more sense though. I'd definitely give a call to your surgeon and ask if you can start them. 16. It's definitely a personal choice. For me, I'm choosing to keep it private. Only my fiancé, siblings, and two close friends (one who has had bariatric surgery) know. I'm a very private person, and don't want the negativity and unnecessary comments that can be very cruel. Some people are open books and share with everyone. As I said, it's a very personal choice, so think about down the road too. My one friend told everyone and now regrets it. She's 7 yrs post-op and to many people, she's still the "girl who got weightloss surgery." It doesn't define you as an individual. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App
