Plainspeech,,,I agree with Paula about the husband being the anointed head of the family spiritually. God has order in his kingdom. You are your husbands helpmate, and he has responsibility to care and guide the family, with your input!! I also agree that each of our journeys are individual and God said He is the author and finisher of our faith.. It is up to him to bring each of us to a place of faith to believe that He wants us to be delivered of what and when. Some of us are delivered of bondages because God knows how he put us together and how we will respond to particular struggles in our life and He meets us where we need to be met. On the other hand, some of us may not be delivered of certain struggles as we need to work out our faith with fear and trembling. He alone knows which of us need to be strengthened where when and why for future concerns that may be not only for our benefit but for others. I know that He uses our pain and experiences to comfort others with the comfort that we ourselves receive. Getting the lapband does not negate your faith. It does not mean that God doesn't love you. It does not mean that you are out of His will. I'm sure you have put a lot of time into deciding what to do and I believe that caring for the Temple of the Holy Spirit is always wise. For what ever reason you get the band, please know that you are not a lesser Christian since God didn't deliver you from overeating. I am more than sure that you are loved dearly and are in a different place in your journey than your sister. Since when is a different point on the map any closer to its destination when the starting points and ending points different? Keep putting one step in front of another, He is the light unto our path. Rarely does He light up the entire road ahead, He is too intimate for that, I believe He wants to walk closely with us. Its what His word says!

Nuts, bolts, stents, bands, IUD,ports, grommets, what have we not heard of yet? I cant think of anything, but what about knee and hip replacements. and plates. I'd rather have a band and a few grommets than have my hip replaced in a few years. I'm sure that was where I was headed. Does someone have a hip replacement? Isn't it a blessing too? Does anyone know what those grommet things are in my picture?

I have had no tube tied, and the previous few years during an angiogram, I did not have these things inside. I was fully gowned, (cold) and These things are clearly inside as they are in front of my vertebrae. I can see them in a video. The other funny thing is can you see the lapband? its in the lower right corner, its very vague but there it is sort of a large 6 curled into the lower 1/4 of the picture, its mostly visible in one of the photos. The other one shows the tube to my port best. These grommets are about 1/2 inch or a little smaller.!

Does anyone from the medical field know what those things are? I heard of someone on this forum that has found a couple of circles in their tummy in an ex ray too. I wondered if this is actually common from laproscopic surgery of any kind, not just lapbanding. I wondered if it had something to do with securing the tools while surgery is performed, or if they helped to keep the gas inside so we could get bloated enough for the surgeons to work. Id love to learn more about these things. :omg: :help:

Oh if you are in Saudi, Do you know the plant called haBIzi? I want to grow some for medicinal tea, and cant find the herb online here. I want to know the scientific name so I can do a proper search. Any guesses?

Those rings are near my spine, as determined by the video that i have watched. The port is way off to the left of these scans and its never visible as the angiogram studied my heart only. You can only see the vague lines of the band as the view comes looking downward from my chin area twords my hips and thats why from this view you cannot see my vertebrae. Weird isn't it? Those dark veins are colored temporarily by die that is entered into my heart. What you are looking at are the coronary arteries so that can give you perspective on the sizes of everything. This was so amazing to me.

Now MY DH helped me so they are all visible to me at least. Can anyone else find them? The band is sort of the dark or solid lines that are geometrically smooth not squiggly like guts and stuff. I forgot that there were 3 extra ringy thingyies in there.

If you want to see something really foreign inside, Check out my pictures here, These are of my heart during an anagram, and you can SEE my band, ever so slightly, but there are two rings inside my stomach that appeared after the band was placed, I hope that its OK that they are there, my heart DR. didn't say there was a problem, anyway this is totally amazing to me, I also have a stint, another foreign object, only it is inside my heart vein!!

I know what you mean,,, usually I take a vitamin supplement, but not since banding, I get so nauseous, I had to move to a liquid form so I could dilute it with water. I wonder if these things are just sitting our larger pouch of the stomach and opening there.?

If you want to permanently git rid of vegetation in an area, you can pour oil on the soil. Nothing will ever grow there again.. So be careful!

I would bank on the Dr. that said it is ringworm. He is qualified to know this, and The vet needs to know about the animal, not you. The Dog may have the appearance of something different, but rest assured. One patch on the dog should not disqualify your problem. Treat yourself as the Dr. said and treat the dog as if he had the ringworm and keep him away from your skin problems so as to not infect him with the ringworm as you two could keep passing this back and forth. it would be wise to let your Dr know that the vet isn't in agreement and ask your Dr. if he would prescribe something for your dog for your sake, You do not want to keep this cycling around the two of you.

Bless you 3loves, I have always read your name as 3 loaves, until I started to respond to your post. God does meet needs but there have been times when "I" thought he was not meeting some of mine, I had to learn that sometimes my "need" was really a want. I think that the widows mite was so very precious, giving out of what she didn't have. I hope to grow into that kind of faith someday. As I said I thought, three loaves, I wondered if it was one you had, one you do have and one you believed for. I cant figure out why I thought that way, My eyes are funny sometimes!

One thing that I know for sure is that God is jealous for our hearts. If we love money more than Him, thats idolatry. Do we own the money or does it own us. Its not wrong to want nice things. We are not given hardships to punish us. God remains with us even when money fails. He will never leave nor forsake us. We are blessed in the US in ways we will may never understand, that said, Freedom is what Jesus Christ Died for... Freedom from death and Freedom from bondages, including the bondage of living for the emptiness of riches. The wealth comes to to wicked and the saved, Rain is promised to fall on the righteous and wicked. Only God can truly judge the hearts of men as we are deceived by our own hearts. Our treasures in heaven come as answered prayers. I truly believe that that is the abundant life. I never found it in scripture where He said that God helps those who help themselves. We were helpless against sin, so he made a way of salvation. Money is only an instrument or gift, just as all of our Talents. How we choose to use them determines how our hearts are geared. Are they geared to help others or to help ourselves. And that is not mutually exclusive BTW. I will never forget how absolutely jealous God is for my heart. Its all he wants. Not my money, not my talents but my love. He said over and over again in His word. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on my own understanding....Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all these things shall be added unto you.. All the beatitudes show us the compassion and mercy of God, not the legalism of organized religion. God is interested in the spirit of His Word, not the Tit for Tat that so often accompanies it. His promises are true. The tither will have his needs met. I cant begin to tell you of the many times He has proved himself faithful. I hope that we don't measure Gods blessings in $$$ if we do we run the risk of chocking on quail!!!

My brows have changed there position since Ive lost weight. I know it sounds weird but maybe just the fat around the brow bone is gone. They seem to be more predominant. I just use the mens hair color from the drug store. The just for men beard color is great. I just mix about 1 inch of color and brush it where It needs to go. This works great on my gray eyebrows, so the overall color is the same. I am surprised at how fast the brow hairs fall out and how fast they grow out. I can see the gray ones coming back in. so If coloring your eyebrows is very expensive, skip the charge for the first time and do it yourself to see if it is worth the cost. I would not even attempt the eyelashes though, they fall out easily and mascara is so much safer. Lancome has a great eyelash booster that you put on before the mascara. Its awesome!! I use it under cheap mascara and love it.

I have a Friend that is a nutritionist. She says that in the long run, craving sweets means you need protein. She has me eat medjool dates. When you get good ones they are soft and very satisfying, she said that they have a lot of minerals and Iron and fiber. I can usually eat only one, honestly. Not bad for a goodie. Then she said to load up on red meet. to buy myself an excellent cut of red beef like a fillet minion. broil it and eat it rare. Yummy. I also get good salmon here and the next day I eat that. I eat protein almost exclusively for a couple of days and I am really surprised! She also told me that if I crave salty things, I need minerals. If I crave chocolate, I need vitamin e. If I crave meat, I need b complex. I thought that one was weird but she has been proved right on for me. I understand something about acidophilus complex in the gut that react to red beef and it produces b complex. Its what she said! I really don't know if this is mumbo jumbo but I have managed to do better understanding this. Oh yeah she reminded me about Candida. Its a real sugar hog and a real downer after you use antibiotics. After you eat sweets if you get a real drowsy feeling:notagree then its likely you have a Candida overrun. If you crave carbohydrates, the refined kind, cookies, cake, bagels and chips etc you might have Candida also. So the last craving, the one for carbs could mean Candida overrun. She makes me go to the naturpath for a cleanse and gut rebuild for that one. Oh yea, the reason for the drowsiness :bored is that the Candida takes the sugar and makes alcohol!! If there is anyone that can give clarity or 'debunkness' to all this I would really like to know the real thing. I love my friend and all, I will still follow her advice its proven right by me but it would be nice to get verification of sorts. I feel silly if I'm passing out" just enough information to be dangerous!":nervous :guess She also said.. If I get angry to frequently and my moods are out of controll, I could have too much gluten. If you ask my kids, I must be gluten intollerent!!!:angry :cry:p

Dearest Bermy, How very precious your pictures are. In the evening concert the oldest child is so real, its as if I know her. I expect her to glance at me and realize that she had her fingers in her mouth, perhaps even biting her fingernail, and sense that she is being reminded not to and put both hands behind her back and smile. That I know smile, even with a little rotation or swing in her motion. I want to be there! So do you sell lithographs, or do only the originals ever get sold? You are wonderfully talented. Thank you for sharing!! BTW, I would only be staring at her precociousness verifying the music and all, and she seems very patient what a sweet heart.
