Thanks Everyone for all the compliments and suggestions. I wore the bra enchancers today. I had a weird moment trying to figure out which way these enchancers are to be worn. I think I had them in the wrong way for a few hours but they still looked good. My close friends said I looked better. I even felt better. I am a single 61 year old who is not even dating. So I guess I will fake it till I make it through all the surgeries. berry I kind of think you were right on with my thoughts. I really felt that it was the shock that I wasn't a B that threw me off emotionally. I am usually a positive person. I will just have to be patient and see what happens when the rest of the excess skin is removed. Who knows they may pop out more and look great on the new body.

Belle,
What an accomplishment you have been through! I am not there yet, but I am going to give you my two cents worth....here goes. You are almost there! Yes I'm sure you dont look quite like you want to right now, but you are so darn close!! Just look at it as another stepping stone. You lost 290 lbs!! I mean ROCK STAR!! Now you just need to get the finishing touches, thats all! Just wear clothes that make you feel comfortable right now, but know that you are so darn close!! I hope my pep/rant helped somewhat! I mean if you can loose 290, you GOT THIS!!! #seethelightattheendofthetunnel

ElaineCofNJ reacted to ProudGrammy in Sleeve Veterans: What makes you successful long term?
hi all
i am proudly telling you that i'm 5 .5 year PO
4.5 years GOAL with my sleeve!!
It's a wonderful feeling i continue to use
the information i learned as a NEWBIE
especially drinking Water - and protein
i still "usually" use small utensils, small plate
eat slowly, and chew a little at a time.
don't like to go to restaurants any more -
but when i do, i also don't deprive myself.
i ALWAYS ask waiter/waitress for a take
home container when she brings my
food out. immediately put 1/2 away before
i eat. i continue to follow my plan "most" of the
time. i'm not perfect - then again
one thing that keeps me at GOAL (2-3) lb
fluctuate - is remembering my past weight,
how unhappy i was,. never will go back
there again!! keep up the good work
you are doing great - i know you will be
a continued success
congrats and good luck

I am sorry to hear that your weight is at a stand still. My doctor says it does happen at different times for individuals. Have you tried reducing your sodium and increasing your Protein intake? Are using weights when you work out?
What works for me is making sure that i get my 65 grams of protein and alternate my workout (aerobics and weight training).
Keep at it and you will start losing again. All teh best

The first thing to do is take stock of what you are doing now. For the next week, don't change anything, just write everything down. (What you eat, how long, and what sort of exercise, types of medications taken).
Once you have the list, you can figure out how many calories, Protein, carbs, and fats you are getting.. pay attention to the intensity of the exercise.. heart rate, (if you can).. and see if weight gain is a side effect of your medications.
With all that information, you'll be able to see where things could be helped, or come back on here, and you'll get some *hopefully* helpful advice.
