Nerves are incredibly calm at the moment. Have an hour until surgery. Finally in a gown and my cool blue hat lol

Talk about breaking my heart. My son (5) and I were talking and I said I was scared about my surgery Monday and he goes "you can always see me from heaven and I can remember you in my mind" shocked I have him able to understand, then floored told him don't kill me off so quick.
So of course I end up bawling. I'm just scared. Nothing about the actually surgery scares me, I have a high pain tolerance, not worried about stitches, just dying and not being there for my son.

Yes you will be able to drink wine. I drink a glass daily

I think it's the perfect time of year for this. Think of all the poofy sweater, jackets ect. You're shedding all this weight. Come summer when you are able to wear form fitting clothes everyone's gonna be floored!

I got sleeved on Oct 22 2012 and I have lost 52 pounds so far.

I lost nearly 30 lbs. the first 4 weeks. I'm now 4 weeks and 2 days out.

I lost 23 pounds the first month, 8.5 the second.

Don't let it get to you. I'm officially at -102 pounds and someone said to me today, "I can really see your weight loss now." Uhm, ok. How do you even respond to that? I've lost the weight that an average 12 year old boy weighs and you're just now noticing???

My first day of preop went pretty well, its 5 here and I feel okay about it so far. I'm not much of a night eater so ill be good.
Don't think it'll do any damage for you to lick a carrot lol!

Glad I'm not the only one, feel horrible because I broke down and ate a cheese stick and apple slices lol. I'm on the no food liquids, Protein Drink, Jello week. Ugh. I hate jello! Refocused and will behave, I don't want my weakness to cause me to not be sleeved. We can do it

If you're just looking for a fling, I say go for it. Keep it light and easy, and have fun. Get your cougar on girl!

I am 5'0" tall. My start weight was 228. Current weight 121. My goal weight is 110.

Just got out of surgery, and everything went great! No surgery pain, but some uncomfortable gas. Already walked around the floor holding onto my sweet hubby. So happy!! Thanks for all the prayers and support everyone. Good luck to all this weeks sleevers!!!

i recently quit cold turkey. it helped me to start drinking Water first thing in the AM, take tylenol for headaches, avoid people and sleep it off.

At this point, only 5 days out of my 2 week pre-op diet, my arm is looking quite tasty!!!! LOL Were any of you really hungry?? What did you do besides drink Water to curb the hunger? I'm drinking water as I type. I've lost 5.5 lbs so far.. So almost a lb a day doing the diet- Not too shabby and going to the gym. Only went twice so far this week. Getting my sleeve on 12/14. I named it Sleevey B. I'm becoming delirious... LOL

Sleeved 12/3!!! Surgery went well - no complications; recovery going good.
Like: The WLS wait is over!
Discomfort: Bloating and gas (bubble guts)
Note: Hard to take the smallest sips of Crystal light -- but ice chips are my new BFF!! Even with limited liquid intake I have had to pee a thousand times!

WOO HOO!!! I just made my very last pre-op Protein Shake for the morning...24 hrs to go!!!! I can not wait to be a loser!

I agree with fyre_storm, was going to say food poisoning. That way you not contagious and they pitty you and leave you alone
