Help!
Yes. Stalls are normal. Your body will need to heal and then adjust throughout this journey. Don't stress your body more with extra worry. The weight will come off if you stick to your plan. You will be able to feed your body more and more as the swelling goes down.

Help!
I didn't keep a log of weightloss and I don't remember when I began losing. Probably week 2 before I went into a 2 week stall. I've learned to let the worry about the scale not moving and know the weight will continue to come off if I stay on plan. I find clothing getting too big more rewarding than what the scale says. And I feel great. Most important.

Oh So Tired!
I had a lot of fatigue requiring naps until I was on solid food for a week or so. Your body is telling you it needs rest for healing. Work may be challenging.

Help!
The bubbles may be trapped air. Before you sip, rather outand see if that helps. It is most important to get fluids in so you don't get dehydrated. Your stomach is swollen so you will feel full. Don't push too much liquid at once. Take a 5 minute break and then sip again. It does get easier.

Creamed spinach
I could have spinach at week 5 but was told to make sure the stems are removed.

This does not seem like normal loss!
Increasing your water intake will make a huge difference with losing weight. Also, your body just needs it. I work hard at getting in the required 64 ozs and the days when I get in 80 or more, I feel better.

Curious...
The no drinking rule is designed for a lifetime but you get used to it. However not everyone follows it. I did not have an antacid after surgery and had no issues. Everyone is different.

Day 1
That is going to hurt for a week or more but it does get more tolerable. Just move slowly when you sit or stand or get out of bed.

2 days Post-Op Question
I have been addicted to lip balm for years. It will help you. You may be breathing thru your mouth more than you realize.

Question about incision sites
My surgeon warned me about hardness potentially at incision site. Said not to worry as it is part of healing. I never touched them.

Favorite flavor drops?
I like the Nestea half lemonade half iced tea drops. Mio lemonade drops are good too.

Pain Meds - How Long Did You Take?
I went off them after 2 days because I just don't like taking drugs and they tend to cause constipation. The muscle by biggest incision hurt but I found ways to tolerate it. Actually helped me to move around more. Also, i live by myself so i needed to get around and be able to drive. Totally about what works for you.

Gained
Just stick to your plan. Your body is healing and adjusting.

Prilosec crushed or not?
My instructions were to NOT crush any pills. I had no trouble swallowing them whole. One was even big. If your surgeon told you to crush pills and told you to take prilosec, then I would probably crush it or call surgeons office and ask.

21 days post op food question
It qualifies as puree if you run it thru food processor. I bet that smells good. I am hungry!
-
Unsweetened Coconut
The coconut can get stuck in the staple line and cause an infection and or leak. Please follow your surgeons instructions. They were put together to allow your stomach to heal.

SCARED OF GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY!
Just remember that after the actual surgery, it is up to you to follow you after care plan exactly as you were told. If questions arise, ask here if general. If specific to eating stages, exercise, and doctor related things, don't hesitate to contact your surgeon. Avoiding many of those complications are within your control.

60 pounds in 2 months is it possible?
It may be possible but not likely. However, I was in Costa Rica last year before surgery and weighed around 290. I had no problem horseback riding or zip lining. They told me it was important to be able to move well and to be flexible, so the weight wasnt an issue. Walk a lot and do aerobics when you are ceared. Had lots of fun!

How much lettuce?
I only eat a bite or two of lettuce because I just don't have room for more if I am eating my protein too. Lettuce won't fill you up in the same way.
-
Stupid question, but do they strip you nude in surgery?
You strip yourself and put on a hospital gown before they wheel you into surgery.
-
Chili? ( one week post-op)
Good for you for calling and asking!
-
5 oz of protein OR 10 cookies
Yep. The sleeve is only a tool. We have to do our part.

Cravings
Can you check your plan? I was allowed cottage cheese but not fruit at puree stage. Canned fruit was in my soft food stage but nothing with seeds.
