Hi, I had to take out a loan and put some of the cost on to my credit card. Do I feel it is worth it? Absolutely! I was just banded two weeks ago, but I have been overweight my entire life. I am now 43 y.o., female, and happen to have a low-end BMI of 36. My pre-op weight was 225. I've lost 10 lbs. since the surgery two weeks ago. I am looking forward to long-term benefits of being at a lower body weight, such as a decreased risk for diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. I look at the surgery as a way to increase my overall health and well-being.30+ years of dieting sure didn't work for me! Can you really put a price on that?

Hi, I was just banded in Gainesville, FL by Dr. Hipp. My surgery was done on Feb. 5th, so I am just two weeks post-op. Thank you everyone who has posted on this site, as I used it as a reference for knowing what to expect from the surgery.
