    Body jewelry....

I haven't signed up for surgery yet...still on the fence. In the meantime, I creep a lot of posts trying to gain as much info and inspiration as I can. The surgery I'm interested in is the Gastric Sleeve. BUT I have a dermal piercing just below my neck in the middle of my chest...pretty neat looking. This cannot be removed unless surgically, and I've had it for 3 years...really don't want to have to remove it! The piercer told me that he'd probably be able to take it out for me with minimal issues. Wonder if they'd let me keep it in, and in the event something is needed where it has to come out, then they could just rip it out prior to doing whatever? Premier Protein...

While I like the premier Protein shakes (all flavors too), the last few I've drank had tiny chunks of whatever in them. I drank them anyway, and nothing came if it - wondering if it could be like a protein film that sticks to the inside of the carton, then breaks up when shaken?!? Seems like I notice it more when I've had them in the fridge...have y'all experienced anything like this? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Same here...And reading these posts allow me to feel really good about the possibility of having Bill as my coordinator, and Dr. Illan (sorry if misspelled) as my surgeon. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Thanks so much...I appreciate reading through these forums, and seeing the amazing pics too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. These posts and pics are just truly inspirational, and you all look so much younger after losing the weight!!! Something that keeps me on the fence is that I like to be able to drink beer socially - which isn't often...maybe like once a week if that. Also, there are times that I crave some carbonation. I don't drink many sodas, but when I get the craving, I must have a few sips - like I don't have to drink the whole thing. I maybe drink 3 diet sodas a week if that... Just concerned about this, you guys! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I would love going to this too! I was looking at the website, and they do have an option to checkout educational sessions from their past conventions. The 2016 agenda looks great. Gives me an excited, yet overwhelmed feeling seeing all that's listed... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    FDA finally approves AspireAssist

Guineakitty - thank you, thank you so much for taking the time to type all that out. I appreciate reading about your experience, as I have been very interested in this. Well, I have forever researched many weight loss help/options...I'm very thankful for this BariatricPal app! It means so much for people to have these connections with others that have gone through pre-op and post-op WLS - or considering it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    FDA finally approves AspireAssist

It's not helping with the better habits, mentally wise anyway. I hear, and understand the arguments too - but I feel like it's just about whatever works. Like, I've always been able to lose the weight - but I can't keep it off...the restrictions I created for myself lead to binge eating. Now, I guess with all the yo-yo dieting I've done, it's been the absolute hardest to get the scales moving in the right direction. For now, Gastric Sleeve may be the last resort for me - but really thinking I want to try AspireAssist first. You don't have to always pump the food out...so one may really try to live a healthier lifestyle but still not have to deprive themselves of the yummy foods during social times, etc...just pump the majority of that out before it settles in the body as fat = not being so hard on myself with the guilt, hate, and mental anguish of it all...
