  1. I am in education and a doctoral student. I took this summer off knowing that the distraction of surgery would be difficult to surpass. RNY surgery is August 3rd. Return to school is August 15th... But I am I a leadership position and need to do half days on the 8th. School starts on the 22nd. It will be a one moment at a time process as we had to completely tear down our rooms for an overhaul of the fire alarm system which won't be complete until the 12th of August. It is going to be a challenge that may take my entire family helping decorate for our open house on the 18th of August. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. It is time for an update. Today is day 5/14 in the land of preop. The best thing I've done is conquer evening "hanger" (yup, this is the anger I feel over watching others eat when I cannot). Every grocery purchased was a part of a recipe someone else in the family can make. Sweet peace is in the house again!!!!! Pokemon GO has also helped with activities that distract from the daily ho-hum. Life is going well!! It is great seeing y'alls progress too. It is great having peeps to go through this journey with. 5. Malware is a problem, but it is not stopping me and my family. We are doing something together and enjoying it. With teens and a fat mom... and the gentle activity level - we are not going to stop in the near future. It is fun! We play smart and together!

  14. Aug 3rd here - 4 shakes a day and at least 96 ozs of beverages per day (Protein shakes count). I'm mixing up my sources of protein - ProJoe in the morning, Bariatric Advantage unflavored shakes mixed with unsweetened soy milk 2x/day, and Bariatric advantage vegetable Soup protein for dinner. As long as I don't wait too long for the protein all is well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Today is day two of my preop diet. I have made sure to vary my Protein sources. ProJoe in the morning. Unflavored Bariatric Advantage Protein shake. Bariatric advantage vegetable protein Soup (which helps me sleep). So far the most difficult aspect of the protein liquid diet phase has been cooking for everyone else. I nearly cried when cooking dinner last night (burgers). My darling husband refuses to cook. My daughter usually works evenings. And my son believes dinner should be cooked using the microwave. I need to do some meal planning for them so I can stay sane and avoid sampling. So far so good... August 3rd will be here fast enough. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. @@Christine 01 I have Dr. Primomo It is day two of preop and doing well aside from the desire to nibble when cooking for the rest of the family. Uggh.
