Yes I was in a lot of pain during the first week especially I used ice packs, hot Water bottles in between the pain meds for at least 2 weeks in week 2 it got better only the large incision still hurt. I'm 4 weeks post op now the large one still has a dull pain.

I'm on my preop diet as well and I've had 2 Protein shakes today and looking for suggestions for dinner? I have nothing to eat (I need to go shopping) so I'm needing ideas

Awesome!!! The office is great. It literally took me 6 hours to get approved with insurance. They had everything done and they are on point with everything needed. I'm super happy with them.

There's a lively debate about whether the science is valid or not, but I've found that GENEPRO mixes up easier than the other brands I've tried, and if you believe the hype it's the equivalent of 30g of Protein in 1 tablespoon instead of 2 tablespoons. But even if you count it only as 15g having it mix up better is worth it to me.
Beyond that, my next fave is Syntrax unflavored.

I have Flexible spending through my employer. The maximum is $2600 for the year and they will deduct that money from my checks every 2 weeks. So I'm taking the $2500 and putting that down for my deductible. I will not have to come out of pocket at once.

My defining moment was when I realized that I had gone up like 6 sizes in the last couple of years. I felt ashamed in pics and when I saw the bottom pic of how big I was at my aunts funeral, I cried. I have tried every diet known to man. Then one day I said to get something you never had you have to do something you never had. That's when I finally buckled down to take steps to do all pre req for surgery. I am so grateful that I have journeyed into this lifestyle. I started out in July 242 lbs. With the direction of the dietician consults, I managed to lose 23 lbs (242 down to 219) by my surgery date . The pic with the bonnet on left shows me 4 days after surgery and the one on the right shows me almost 2 weeks post op. I was shocked that I could see a difference. Since those pics were taken, I have lost another 6 lbs. I'm in onederland and it will be my permanent address from now on...I am going to reach my goal of 150 lbs and no food tastes as good as that victory will, this I know.
So, when was your epiphany? When did you say enough is enough? 

My surgery is 01/13 and my deductible is $2500 and once I meet the deductible, I do not have to pay to see any Dr for the entire year.

I had a Fitbit but ended up with a Misfit Shine because I could wear swimming and I didn't have to charge it all of the time

I went right to the top and got a Garmin Fenix 3 HR. Part of the reason for that was it is the only one that fits my giant (bony, not fat) wrist. But it is waterproof, has an excellent heart rate monitor, and lots of other stuff besides.

Fitbit blaze is the best !!! Coming from someone who has had the surge,charge, charge hr and flex get the blaze OR charge HR 2. U will not regret it lol Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App

I'm approved for a January date but I'm waiting on the surgeons office to call me in December for a January date!! The scheduler knows I prefer January 13th as my date! So excited for all of us! Can't wait to see what 2017 brings for all of us....
