  1. That's true. I mostly mean getting back on program and tracking and exercising more again! Thanks! I'm sad I ever let myself get to the point that I have to lose 340 pounds. I know I need to look at the future and focus on how far I've already come but it's hard not to remember how trapped I was. I do need to work on my emotional eating still and am working with my therapist on it but it's a process. I go through phases of feeling proud of all I've done to feeling like a failure because I'm not losing as much or as fast as I thought I would. I feel like my "magically fast" first 6 months was stolen from me since I had so many complications and had to be on tpn infusions to get my fluids and nutrients for the first 5 months.
  2. Yeah, that's a good idea. I would love to do that. Maybe a museum or something too.
  3. @Hazel_eyez Well, I don't have a BF. lol. These are the first couple dates with guys. I've been going out with a few guys trying to find one that fits. Also, I live with my parents so I can't really have them over! Once I know them better I can offer to go to their house to make dinner but mostly I haven't gotten to that part yet!
  4. @BigUtahMan Yeah, maybe I should lay off the scale for a bit. It's hard for me. Sometimes the weight still falls off a bit. I did end up losing 20 pounds in the in the challenge. I need to get back to being strict with myself though.
  5. @Hazel_eyez haha thanks! I don't watch my carbs at all which maybe I should? I don't know. My nutritionist said I don't have to if that kin d of diet isn't sustainable for me, which it isn't. I should start drinking more water though. I've been going out to eat a lot lately because I've started dating and it's annoying because I don't WANT to go out to eat but thats what people do!
  6. @Hazel_eyez That happens to me too. And my cycle has been sooooo messed up because cysts have started growing again I just had mine for 9 days then 3 days later it started again! @BigUtahMan Thanks! I'm trying! It's so hard. Lately I've been feeling like such a failure which I know in my mind is silly because I've lost 236 pounds but in my emotions I just see the stall/gain
  7. @Hazel_eyez I'll add that! You beat your goal! Congrats! My weigh in this week is 304.5

  12. @Torriluv87It is both exciting and scary! It's true the skin will weigh some. The doctor said the skin doesn't weigh as much as I might think it does though!
  13. @Deactivatedfatgal Thank you! I'm hoping so!
  14. @Thejeweledsleeve Thanks! I still have about 105 pounds to go. I've lost about 70% of what I want to lose. I'm happy with my progress so far. I'm having more issues recently as I'm trying to date and have been going out to eat more and cooking at home less. I need to learn how to balance it better!
  15. @sjfinkThanks for the tip! I'll have to see where I am when the time comes!
  16. @Thejeweledsleeve Hah! Right?! I'm excited!
  17. @amynorwood Thank you!! I'm hoping it will help! Right now it is really hard to manage. I do wear spanx every day but those start to hurt!
  18. @kayshabear Thank you! I agree that it will help me overall. It's just hard to make the final decision. I guess I will see where I'm at in June! If I continue the same weight loss rate as I'm at now I will be down an additional 50 pounds and be only 55-60 pounds away from my goal! I doubt I will stay at this rate though. :-/
  19. So as some of you know I am 5'10 and I started at 540 pounds October of 2015. I had surgery May 29, 2016 at 480 pounds and today (March 23, 2017) I am 303.6 pounds. I am mostly happy with my progress but am plagued with lots of extra skin. Even though I am not a year out from my surgery I met with a plastic surgeon for my stomach hang. It bothers me a lot and is pretty painful. The surgeon gave me 2 options. 1. I could wait until goal or 2. I could get have surgery to remove the hang now and have a revision later. I chose to try and have insurance cover it now and get a revision later because it bothers me so much. They submitted it to insurance and I got the call that they approved it!! My surgery date is June 5th! I'm very excited but also a bit nervous. The surgeon said mine would be the largest he has ever done and I would need at least 4 drains in for about 4 weeks. I'm also nervous that by June I might be closer to goal and it might be silly to get it now when I would have to get it again so soon. It's really hard to tell my rate of weight loss though once I get closer to goal. Overall I am excited and just wanted to share my good news with everyone!

  22. @painter88That's great, congrats on your success. This is a 8 week challenge and we nearing the end of it. If you would like you can join the next challenge!
  23. @Deactivatedfatgal I did not have any reflux
  24. My surgeon has told me at 8 months out I should be shooting for 1000-1200 calories a day because I was shooting for 600-800 and they said that was way too little at that point.
