I came back from vacation today fully expecting a gain...instead I lost 4 pounds and am now at 297.8!!! I AM UNDER 300!!! I have not seen a 2 at the beginning of my weight in FOREVER!! I started at 540 in October of 2015 and had the sleeve on May 29, 2016 at 480 pounds. Now 10 1/2 months later I am at 297.8!! This surgery saved my life, I'm so grateful every day for this opportunity to have a life again!

Have anyone tried baby food on Pureed Diet?
I tried baby food and HATED it! It was such a bad flavor to me. My surgeon said I could use them but ONLY the only meat ones, not the fruits or ones with vegetables or pasta. I found that cooking foods in a crockpot then pureeing them in the sauce was the best option. Crockpot cooked foods are the easiest for the puréed stage because they are so soft to begin with! Another thing I ate was low fat refried beans with a tiny bit of shredded cheese and sour cream. Egg salad is also a good choice.

100 lb milestone
Congratulations! That is a great feeling! I remember those milestones! I am now down 238 pounds and my next goal is 300 down (well the first one it to get under 300 with is 2 pounds away!!). Congrats on your success! As for your coworkers...forget them! But sometimes some people don't know what to so or if they should say something. Try not to take it personally!

Post opp surgery
WALKING is the best remedy. My doctor advised not to use gasx and things like that right away and to walk it out. Walking is good for gas and also to prevent blood clots.

HOP INTO SPRING CHALLENGE!!
@braydens.momma It has been updated! @MelissaH74 It's not too late! @sjfink That's great! I am having my extra stomach skin removed at the end of the challenge! @doingit4me2017 Welcome to the challenge. Our goal weights are what we would like to weigh at the end of 8 weeks. Would you like me to keep your goal at 140 or would you like to update your goal? UPDATE: I saw you updated your goal already! Thanks!

HOP INTO SPRING CHALLENGE!!
I am sooo sorry! I didn't realize people could not see it! I have updated it so everyone should be able to view it now!! Sorry everyone!

Goal weight
I'm glad my doctor didn't do that. He was more like..I think you can get there but you don't even have to get that low. I started at 540 pounds though so maybe that's why. I'm now at 301 at 10 months out and they said I have way exceeded their expectations. I have my one year appointment in May!

Goal weight
My doctor asked me what I wanted to get down to. I said 200. He said sounds good. That will still put me at overweight according to BMI standards but honestly that stuff is such bs. I'm 5'10 by the way

Has anyone been hospitalized for starvation?
I was unable to eat or drink anything for a while due to complications. So in a way I was, but it's only because I had complications. I had a picc line put in and I had to give myself TPN infusions every night that gave me nutrients and fluids so my body got what it needed. I don't think people have trouble with malnutrition UNLESS they have complications. Your body can survive on 500 calories a day.
