  1. Any moment, I will have lost 100lbs... It may take a week or 2  to lose this 1 lb but I'm excited to be so close to my goal!  My cruise is May 5th So my exercise game is about to explode effective 4/1. I commit to 5 days a week 1hr/day + a 30 day Ab  and Squat challenge. :51_scream:

  2. 8 mos post op now... 20lbs left to go.  Really more like 15 but I'm ready to finally let go of this weight I've been holding onto.  Idk why.  I guess I just like myself where I am.

I'm 8 months post op today as well. It feels like a lifestyle change at this point. I also have about 20lbs to go but it feels achievable and I'm so happy where I am for now that I don't feel feel stress about it. Congratulations on your success and follow through!

  3. It's been awhile. I've managed to stall my weight loss purposely and I'm happy no complaints about a stall in which I created. I've been allowing myself carbs and a xmas cookie here and there. On the up side I have been managing to get up most mornings to workout at 6am before I go to work. Mainly doing resistance training no cardio. We'll see how it goes. I'd like to be 175 by 12/31 which is like 3 lbs away so I've got this!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!

    1. ShelterDog64

      ShelterDog64

Can I ask why you decided to stall yourself? It's good to see you :)

  4. I'm so happy about where I am in my Weight loss journey!!! I am 5 months in I have a great handle on my eating-- skin not too flabby--still have big boobs, butt is smaller but it's still a force to be reckoned with! I feel great and my confidence is unexplainable. I feel like i'm 26 again!

How long did you feel like crap after the surgery? I had ny surgery 11/28 came home yesterday. I didn't sleep all night & feel like crap today. I'm trying to walk around but I feel awful. I tried sipping on protein drink. Ech tasted awful. Any recommendations??

  5. On my way to the gym to tighten and tone this tummy and work in those squats...

  6. Just had to say I've been really enjoying fruit infused water daily. I typically do strawberries and cucumbers and today it's just rasberries. Anyways its' so refreshing and really puts a different spin on water. I've done it off and on in the past but these last 2 weeks I've been really committed.

Do you use an infusion bottle or do you make it by the pitcher or what? I'm weary of plain water but don't like Crystal Light or other artificially sweetened drinks. I'm interested!

  7. I'm officially 5 months today... 70 lbs lost!!! I could really stop here and be perfectly satisfied but i'm going to embrace the process. my body will know when it's time.

Yes - great results for. June sleevers. I am just a few pounds behind. All my travels seem to mess with me but it is what it is. Headed to out of town wedding today!

  8. Hubby grilled the best NY strips last night!!! Although I could only have 3 bites... it was the best!!! I think it would take me about 3-4 days to eat one steak!!! I handled it well no problems! 5 months post op oficially tommorrow.

Suga Renique Reborn, I have the same problem. I'm 3 years out and just this last month I got him to just let me have a bite or two. But...it didn't go well. I can not eat steak. :(:(

    3. Travelher

      Travelher

When my husband makes a steak he only makes one. He, my son and myself all share it.

    4. MrsSugarbabe

      MrsSugarbabe

Love a grilled steak!! Especially Porterhouse! Yum!! Even though I can only eat about 2-3 ounces, hubby and I save whatever is left of 2 steaks and slice it up to put on a salad the next night. And if there's any left after that, I'll take some to work for lunch. Enjoy what you can have!

  9. Had 3 garlic parmesean wings at TGI Fridays... wing dings at that! Lets just say the next 20-30 minutes for me will be real unpleasant. FOAMIES :(

oh god, I can totally relate to this. Even a year out it was a hellish experience. I even started a thread about it. Needless to say, I most likely won't ever have wings again.

    3. shedo82773

      shedo82773

I can alsomrelate...I made Soy Sauce wings for my hubby...I had no want for them at all. But when I went to put them up It was like SOMETHING GOT AHOLD of me!! I ate like 3 or 4 wings FAST!!! NEVER NEVER again!! I had the Foamy's so bad and I did throw up eventually! YIKES not fun

I got the foamies from taking a bite and then the phone rang. Without thinking I swallowed what was in my mouth after 2 bites. Never again...

  10. Every week I log my weight and document a reward... I didnt' log a reward for the last 2 weeks although I was treated to non food rewards such as a day at the spa and a family trip to the amusement park where I was able to ride every damn thing!! Anyways I was thinking of my reward for this week and I don't think this was so much a reward as it was a NSV but I was finally able to fit into those Kenneth Cole Jeans that I told myself although their a 12, I need to be about a 8 to get in them! I'm in them!!! *Biggest smile*

Congrats! I love reading your updates too. I think we were both sleeved in July and love seeing someone else who is finding joy post-op.

  11. At only 4 months in... people are asking me "how much more do you plan to lose?" As if I should stop now and I get it. But I didn't come this far to lose what I could have lost on my own... So although I look like I'm there to other people-- I still have a ways to go.

      gowalking

Remember...these people are using your heaviest weight as a baseline. Of course you look like you should stop soon becuase they know how heavy you were. People who don't know how heavy you were, won't say stop. You stop when your body says stop..or when your doctor says stop. Don't go based on what others think. Oh and I went through the same thing and no..I didn't stop when I lost 50 lbs. or even 100 lbs. I stopped when my body stopped.

  12. Enjoying my Bday weekend with the fam! At Cedar point amusement park for Halloweekends.... not worried about whether I can fit my big ass on the ride! I've been able to ride everything so far. Great feeling! Biggest NSV next to getting into Onederland.

  13. I'm a little salty today for some reason. I will get over it. I think it really hit me somehow that I will have to make very careful choices for the rest of my life. I feel that I will never be able to indulge in the things I once enjoyed like a bottle of wine. Even if I do enjoy a 4-6 oz glass of wine... I have to worry about sugar, calories and weight gain. Sigh...

@Sai thanks. I am feeling better it was just a not so aha moment. @LisaMergs yes LMAO!!! my 12 year old uses that word a lot!!! can you imagine feeling salty? but for some reason that sums it up pretty well. @wlsresources/clothingexchange no... actually I don't love violence in the kitchen-- it kinda scares me. All those knives and sharp corners-- it could get pretty messy! lol!

  14. Finally at the halfway mark!!! Not even 4 months out yet Lets GO!!! Except can I not lose any more of my ass??? Geez!

  15. Onederland is finally here!!! 4 days past my expected date of arrival. This post looks far more excited than I actually am. It's more or less satisfying to be here now. I also feel like I can jump on the scale tomorrow and it will say 201.2. It's my sometimes scorpio pessimism that does not allow me to enjoy the fruits of my labor. For now-- I'm dabbin on em' B#@! Getting sweaty before getting sweaty. That's a great thing!

  18. I know I shouldn't compare myself to others but this one is kinda funny! Sooooo one of my short term goals is to finally get to ONDERLAND and lets just say I'm picturing 194.2 like the second coming of Christ! 2 of my very pregnant co-workers were talking to each other and comparing bellys and current weight. One of them said-- "I'm up to around 194!" She's due in 18 days! Well it kind of put a damper on my goals of hitting onederland but it also put a new perspective on my journey and that is... I still got a ways to go but I am happy with my progress so far-- Happy Monday!

also keep in mind that carrying around a significant amount of extra weight for years not only grows your muscles, which are heavier than fat, but also make your bones denser and thus heavier. I'm the same weight and height as my friend who recently gained some weight and we look utterly different. I'm actually considerable smaller than her, probably due to my muscle mass and bone density. So your 194 will probably be way different than others' 194. :)

    3. OutsideMatchInside

      OutsideMatchInside

When I started this, under 200 seemed like an unobtainable goal. I wanted to be 250 ish. Now if I don't get below 190 I will feel like a failure. Onderland, that elusive place, sigh.

  20. So far I'm not a fan of Quest bars. Mint chocolate was the worst I've ever experienced and I love mint chocolate. Maybe I should consider not eating them this early in the game. I thought I could just start incorporating them once or twice a week into my meal plan as a snack.

Quest bars are my favorite. I like the lemon bars, the brownie bar, and the cinn. bun. I like their numbers and now that the company has gone back to the original recipe, Quest bars like me.
