    Any runners?

I went for my first ever run today. I managed 1.5 miles at a 12:30 pace. This was way more distance and a lot longer than I thought I could do. I was breathing in for two steps and out for one.
  2. I picked up 2 of each flavor today. They were also $6 off each in my local store instead of $5.
  3. Depends on where you started, but I'd say you're doing great
  4. I have to remind myself all the time not to drink after eating. It hasn't been an issue at all. I also eat at a normal pace, but my bites are tiny. I normally finish eating around the same time as the rest of my family.
  5. I do this. I've had a few people try my "diet" and are surprised by how effective it is even without the surgery.
  6. Breakfast: Greek yogurt or scrambled egg. Snacks: hard boiled egg, string cheese, p3 Protein pack, Protein shake. Lunch/dinner: pulled chicken, grilled chicken, turkey taco meat, Beans, steamed veggies, Soups with no noodles

    Alcohol pre op?

I have the unique perspective of both going through the process of getting sleeved and watching my wife go through the process. I did a much better job of sticking to the program, while my wife did not. She was eating bad food right up to the day before surgery. I lost 30 lbs in my 6 month waiting period. She lost 7. I worked out religiously, she never did. My recovery was quick and painless, hers was not. So, what's the point of this story? Even though it is acceptable to consume bad food before surgery, it is best to acclimatize to your new diet as soon as possible.
  8. I made some homemade sugar free popsicles today that are actually really good. I got the cheapo popsicle molds from WinCo (grocery store for those not in the USA) and some sugar free Jello. I made the jello a bit stronger than the directions called for. (3 cups total instead of 4), filled the molds with it and froze them. They turned out great. They're soft, like sorbet, and still only 12 calories per bar.

    Losing too quickly?

The percentage is of my total weight, not excess weight. I called her back and she said I should not change anything yet, but if I continue to lose at this rate then I may have to change something after my next appointment.

    Losing too quickly?

I did ask, but she didn't give an answer

    Losing too quickly?

I'm just following my plan. Nothing special. I do walk a lot, though. I try for an hour every day.
  12. I just had a follow-up with my nutritionist and she said I'm losing weight too quickly. They want me to be around 5% per month and I'm around 8% for the last month. (I'm almost 2 months out) Has anyone else heard anything like that? She didn't really say what I should do about it. I thought I was doing awesome.

    Weight gain

Relax and concentrate on healing. You're going to lose weight as long as you stick to the plan. Some people don't lose the first week or two.
