Have faith that you will find the right job, not just a job. Those positions may be opening up because the job wasn't what was advertised, the boss may be awful, or any number of reasons. Just keep looking and stay positive.

melbell2222 reacted to Vickie23 in 6 Months Post Op & so happy
I had surgery 6 months ago, and the first 3 months were a little difficult for me. I was nauseous, I couldn't keep food down, it was basically trial and error and to be honest very frustrating.
I am still coping from time to time, rarely but it does happen. Sometimes I try new things, I like to play it safe, but little by little I've been trying new things or eating things I was used to.
Overall I am very happy. I have lost a significant amount of weight, it's coming a long and I couldn't be happier. I have been a big person my whole life, I never knew what it was to be thin, I know that at 202 lb I am not thin, but do I feel beautiful.
This Mother's Day I wore a dress, and I felt like a new person. I have been feeling great. I have energy to clean my home, walk, I rode a bike after about 10 years. I am incredibly happy.
I turn 30 in 8 days, and I am just so excited. I feel like a breathe, I can go out and do things, I want to go out and do things. I, Victoria bought myself a black dress to wear for my 30th. I feel like a different person. I am truly happy, when I first had the surgery I was sad because I would always feel sick, I would question why I did this to myself. I also had to deal with the fact that when I was upset I was able to eat my feelings away.
Today I deal with my emotions, and eating is one of the last things on my mind. I'm so happy!!
We made a huge decision having this surgery, and I hope we all get to where we want to be!!!

It could definitely be a factor, as it's not uncommon. I typically stall for a week or two before, then start losing again a few days after it starts. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll be moving along again in no time.

I eat sugar free things but if I don't eat a lot I'll lose nothing. Tastes have changed so food I liked before I don't want or if I do want it I'll take a few bites and be good never eating it again

melbell2222 got a reaction from Vickie23 in Things that happen after gastric bypass
The first thing is don't eat to much it will get stuck in the esophagus ( puke that baby out ) hurts like the devil
Skin is very itchy, it does go away but I still have flare ups
food gets annoyingly gross after eating it for a few days
Weight gets stuck on a number more then you like it to be
After going months without a period you lose enough weight it comes back full throttle
The body part you want to get smaller doesn't, it's always the awkward places first ( I'm a potato with toothpick legs )
Clothes you use to wear can start to fit but there is always a bulge of fat there so guess you will try another day
You can see between the steering wheel and your belly
So many changes its nothing bad, ok maybe the monthly visitors, I could have gone my life without them back but least I know at the end of the day my choice of choosing bypass was the best thing I have done for myself :)

You know how the cliche goes about knowing something like the back of your hand? I wish I had taken photos of my hands and feet because I think they look very different, but because I have no photos, I can't prove it to myself! I do know that the dimples on my knuckles are gone, and my hands don't look like my hands! (I have gone down 3 ring sizes since November!)

Your outside appearance changes a lot faster than your internal view of yourself, especially if you've been fat your entire life. It can take a long time to mesh the new thinner person in the mirror with the old fat person in your head.
I'm still having problems coping with this issue.

Yes my tastes changed but that's not the worse part the worse is waking up and planning your meals and get nauseous over thinking about food. That happened to me for two weeks! Now at 6 weeks in just starting to drink Protein shakes before I couldn't finish then or would make me feel nauseous. So get things on sale or best by dates far out
