It is definitely a lifestyle change, you fall off the wagon sometimes but the key is to get back up. I continue to listen to my stomach when it is full I stop. I have zero regrets and have not experienced complications since. Very content with my results.

Congratulations on this big accomplishment, I do have one question when you say revert back to old ways how long after surgery. I am 2 months post-op and have lost a total of 53 pds. But I feel tempted sometimes to eat things I should not. It is extremely difficult.

I can say I have zero regrets so far. It gets tough and yes you have to be strong but at the end it is all worth it. Looking good and feeling great has never felt like this. I have lost a total of 53 pounds and I hope to continue on this healthy path.

May I ask how much u work out? It will be two months for me on the 21st and I've only lost 31. Im so upset and I feel like it's just not working for me. So sad

Taking a taste is not always a good idea. If you aren't "allowed" a certain food or drink - you're not allowed any - even a taste. For example - I'm not allowed nuts for 8 weeks. A taste could cause significant complications - possibly life threatening. If you are "addicted" to ice cream and just "take a taste" it could trigger a binge. Stay strong and find a distraction or alternative for a craving.

I just celebrated my 11 month post surgery. I started my journey March 2015. At which time I weighed 378 pounds. Per insurance requirements I had to do a 6 month diet. I started out good but then started reverting back to old ways. My surgery was September 9th 2015. Dr mark eaton from southern Oregon bariatric center. Day of surgery I weighed 358. Today I weigh 243 pounds. Total loss 135 lbs. since surgery 115 pounds. I am off blood pressure, cholesterol , and no longer a diabetic. If anyone has any question feel free to message me. I am an open book. When I started I wore a size 48 pants. Today I wear 36.

Hello everyone, I was sleeved June 9th 2016, tomorrow will be one week post-op and I have my follow up with my surgeon as well. I have done well so far, my first day out of surgery I had nothing to eat or drink. The day following surgery I had sf Jello, crystal light and water; my stomach did well to hold it down. I am continuing a liquid diet for two weeks including broth, sf Jello, sf popsicles and drinking lots of liquids and Protein shakes. I have only experienced soreness mainly on my left hand side in my abdominal though the pain has slowly gone away I still continue to feel discomfort while getting up from a flat surface or bending (auch). I have not experienced any nausea and try to sip at a slow pace measuring my liquids and broth as well to avoid it.
My weight loss journey has just begun and I hope my sleeve helps me regain my life back. Being able to feel healthy, with energy build up my self-esteem and dress with clothing that I desire to wear as well, with discipline and commitment anything is possible.
