  1. Happy 34th Birthday Rivieramaya05!

  2. Happy 33rd Birthday Rivieramaya05!

  3. I have a 10CC band with 8.3cc's and I'm really having a hard time eating anything. I think I'm overfilled as it is but couple that with being 9 wks pregnant and I'm pretty miserable. So here is the problem. I'm already thinking about and getting excited about all the wonderful foods I can eat when I unfilled. I'm so affraid of gaining. The plan was to have 4.3cc's removed. I don't remember feeling any difference between completely unfilled and 4cc's. Anything over that, it was painful to eat. After reading a lot of posts on here I see a lot of women get a total unfill. Now I don't know which to do. Total unfill or leave in 4 cc's. I do not want to have multiple unfills. I live 2 hrs from my doctor and can't really afford to keep going back. Advice?
  4. I was doing an ab workout today on a pilates ball and felt a sharp pain when I did a sit up. The first thing I thought was " I hope that wasn't a anchor coming loose. (I have a realize band) Anyways, I'm still sore but not really hurting. I assume I'm sore because it's a new workout and those muscles aren't used to being used. Would I be able to feel or tell if my port flipped? I would think I would be in more pain.

Am I being too hard on my port?

I just started some new fitness classes to try to motivate myself more. Among the classes are pilates and a core strengthening class. My surgery was last July and I've had no issues with my port but I want to make sure it's safe. I have an email into my surgeons office but they are slow so I am looking for opinions here. I tried the pilates class yesterday and today my abs are killing me because I'm not used to working them. My port area is kinda sore but I assume it's because I am using that muscle. TIA
  6. I haven't lost any weight in 3 months. I remember looking at the adjustment chart in my DR's office and one sign that your band is too tight is that you stop losing weight. Why is that?
  7. I started at 324 and have lost 45 lbs in 4 months. I haven't even gotten restriction yet. Why in the world did our Dr say only 30 lbs? I'd find a new doctor. If he isn't supportive before surgery, he surely won't be when you need him after surgery.

    What is this feeling?

I got a fill on Friday of last week and I'm still trying to get used to what I am feeling. HELP! I can't tell if what I am feeling is restriction or if I am full. I still feel hungry but I almost have a feeling that something is stuck...but it's not painful at all just annoying. almost like a lump at the bottom of my throat.

Hair LOSS! Yikes, I'm over a year post op...

Mine recently started falling out. It's scary but I started taking biotin like the PP suggested. I take a 5mg capsule once a day. I found it at Earth Fare.

    Please help

I could have posted this myself! I feel the same way. Like there is no pouch. I guess it's like what people said. You need to find your sweet spot. Trust me, I'm on my 5th fill in a 10CC band and I'm up to 7.6 CC's...how much further away could I possibly be!

    Restriction question

HOw do you know when you have restriction? I have a fill scheduled for tomorrow but I am curious what you all think. Here is the deal. I had surgery at the beginning of July. I have yet to feel full or that slightly tight feeling in my chest that I have heard about. I really really try hard to stop eating after 1 cup of food because I am afraid of hurting my band. After my last fill, eating food that I knew may be difficult became impossible (like breads and eggs). I'm ok with that. I'm just confused about what I am feeling. If I don't chew enough, whatever I eat immediatly drops into the opening from my pouch to my lower stomach and gets stuck. I can feel when it passes through moments later. It's very painful. I'm really not sure if I need another fill or not. Like I said, I have yet to ever feel full and I am hungry ALL the time. I also am not losing much weight and it's been like that for 3 months now (even though I eat all the right things and am working out 5 times a week). Aren't I supposed to feel full?
