    Banana chewed very well?

I tried this at a cafe - yoghurt with some sliced banana - to bites and I new it was a bad move. Took it to go and made a smoothly for lunch when I got home. You can't chew it down it's still too thick. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I'm one week out and have had no pain but today feel a bit sore and bruised inside. Also my tummy looks bruised now so it must take a week or more for it to to come out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  4. My only advise with any kind of paper work is to keep asking. I had a few issues getting documents and after two weeks of persistent calls I eventually got what I needed. But I had to go through about 7 different managers. The first 6 said that what I was asking for could not be done. Number 7 - did it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Beautiful in both but well done lady! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Glad I found this post because I feel the same. So surprised that Water is going down a breeze and so is the liquid diet. No real feelings of hunger but also no feelings of being too full. I really hope they didn't leave my whole tummy in there.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I ate celery between when I felt hungry. I was permitted unlimited veg. Celery has a real crunch which helped me feel like I really was 'eating' Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

Hi all - I'm 2 days post op. I really thought I would want to be alone in hospital but I was quite emotional especially when I woke up. I was very glad to have my mum with me day 1 and dad with me day 2. Probably means I'm a sook but I'm so glad they insisted when I said I didn't need them. On the plus very little pain and no hunger. Good luck all! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. St. Andrews war memorial hospital in Brisbane. I was seriously gonna slip the nurse a 50 if she let me keep my undies . Maybe I'll get lucky and get to keep them anyhow Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Yeah he has done really well. Though he is very casual about it. Won't even take his Multivitamin or go to his follow ups. At this point I just want it done so I don't feel hungry. Thank god I get that 100g of Protein. My biggest worry is paper undies and sleeping in a hospital but I guess that part will be over quick. I am also looking forward to loosing enough weight to get into 'new' territory having lost and regained and lost and regained on my own these last few years. 12. Yes he was bigger. I think paranoia has set in now surgery is only 5 sleeps away. Thanks for your reply - the help on here is keeping me sane Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Thanks ladies I appreciate this reassurance. It's scary. But I'm sure all for the best. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Ok so I was talking to another sleever today and they were strictly on shakes pre op. I am allowed 100g of protein. I triple checked this was correct. But why why why do some allow it an not others. I feel worried that I've had it when others can't. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. I know you are right I have been alternating with soda water. I will miss fizz. I do drink lots of water so I guess I'll find a way to be happy with just h20. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Jess9359 - is it really? I so hope you are right. I guess my fear is that the loose skin will loose worse then what I've got currently. I know loose skin is the healthier of the two, hence I will proceed. I guess I don't hate my current body so I'll be sad if my new one makes me cringe... 17. Loose skin is scaring the shit out of me and I haven't even had the surgery yet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Phew thanks for the reply. I have been having a black coffee or diet coke as my 'treat' Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I can still have coffee just no milk. Is that unusual? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I'm am feeling like it's going too well. Like it should be harder? It's only day 3 but I haven't even had any headache etc. I do feel hungry but not starving and carrot and celery seems to be enough to keep things at bay between. Do you think that swapping a shake for a bar is bad? My dietician said is fine but I wonder if some how the food won't pass through the same way the shakes do. More calorie absorption ? CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS

Hi all - day 3 in pre op diet. My diet allows a protein bar replacement in place of the shake. They are so much nicer. Do u think in order to shrink the liver the liquid form is better? Or is it more about the low carbs? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Sleep Apnea

I was in the same boat. My surgeon did a preop gastroscopy under anaesthetic and they monitored me. Apparently I show no sign of sleep apnea. So that was that. Still somewhat worried.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
