  5. Congratulations for reaching this point! Who is your surgeon may I ask? I kinda wondered if the Aussie surgeons have equal experience to the USA ones? Most don't seem to have many pictures on their websites.... Also if it's ok to ask...any idea on cost? I know this will be on the cards for me in 12mth.

  11. I hope they are keeping an eye on your iron levels? I had a period when I was younger that lasted that long but starting a high dose pill stopped it. Two lower dose ones didn't work. But this was years pre surgery. Sorry I have no other advice.
  12. Initially I was able to eat that amount and I worried my sleeve was 'too big' or something. 8mth on I find that that is just pretty much the amount my stomach holds. I think I was lucky to heal fast and be very well from early on, but am super relieved that as time has gone by I can't actually eat too much more then what I was able to eat from a few weeks out.

  14. May I ask how you are coping with loose skin? That is just such an incredible loss! Congratulations
  15. I know it's so tricky! I have purchased a few new things and I'm struggling to accept some stuff is just way too big. And I keep wearing it anyway. I'm pretty excited that I have 4 classic cut skirts from that time that also fit and I'm wearing them again. The fear of loose skin now is playing heavily on my mind but I know it's going to happen.

  22. My mother kept a heap of things. There was an evening gown I wore to a very fancy wedding at age 15 that is so classic. If I get back in that I'll throw confetti regardless of how lumpy and bumpy I will be.

  24. Today I discovered that at 32 I now fit back into my high school formal dress again. I'm am amazed. But what I do notice is how different my body looks though it is a little hard to recall my 17 yr old body. I really feel that I am still much larger now than I was then and yet that dress fits with ease. Perhaps I filled that dress with more lean muscle and far less fat? Anyone else find along the way?
  25. May I ask your what u are doing for exercise? U look great btw

  30. My advice is better too big than two small. And let your bride know their is a chance this might happen. Pre surgery I had a period where I lost about 15 kg in the month or so prior to a wedding I was bridesmaid for. My dress maker was furious but I refused to let a dress scare me off eating well and walking. I had the dress taken in twice and I had to end up wearing two bras to give me extra lift and volume but it helped me fill out the bust which is where u will notice it most if too big. I would say the dress was still a size to big and there was strategic pinning and sewing me into the dress on the day. My bride was just happy I was succeeding. And ultimately it did still look really nice. Do allow time on wedding day to take those extra steps getting ready. Even in the space of a week u might have noticeable change in size. Keep trying it on. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
