Well I married a man that drinks every day and I don't think I realized that in the beginning...or maybe love is blind. Now I want to drink several times a week. This is not like me at all.I do feel that I need help, but don't want that out in the medical field since I am in the medical field.I know that sounds like an excuse...maybe it is,?????

See if you can find a therapist in a Bariatric Program. There wouldn't be any way for someone to know you were there because of alcohol. I understand your concern being in the medical field - you seem to know someone wherever you go. For your health and well-being, don't let embarrassment, shame or fear stop you from getting help! Try finding an AA meeting in your area.
It is SO COMMON for WLS folks to turn to alcohol. You are not alone.

I am 14 years out from my gastric bypass and have started drinking and now I think I am replacing one bad habit with another. Can anyone help me?
