I went cold turkey, no coffee during the pre surgery liquid phase, the was allowed 1 cup a day in mushy phase. I also had bad knee pain, now 3 months out they free great. The sacrifice is worth it. Give up a little now get great rewards later. Good luck.

They didn't know, I'm one of those people who has kept my surgery a secret. I just feel it's no bodies buineess but mine. I've never been big on sweets my weakness is salty crispy things, which aren't on the radar yet. I am really surprise at how different things taste, and my lack of interest in eating. I'm going to go with it for as long as I can. My new eating routine is now becoming habit, so I think I can live with my new self.

4 weeks post surgery my co worker brings me a coffee and donut not knowing I had the surgery. Normally I would scarf down 2 or 3 of them, but just to taste I took a nibble to my surprise I just didn't like it. Even since my surgery I really don't have an interest in food anymore.

I have a Nutri Ninja which is great for smoothies and fruit - anything with ice it will turn into a shake like consistency. I also have a top of the line Bamix Immersion blender and I don't think it could do much with ice. Its a brilliant tool but the blades are simply too small to deal with ice very effectively. But it is awesome for Soups and hummus. I'm considering getting a bullet for work smoothies.

I had my sleeve on 4/13/16. I never really realized how few friends I have until I started this journey. My husband has been amazing but he's pretty clueless when it comes to pretty much everything to do with the sleeve. I've been out of work and home alone for over 2 weeks and not one of my so called friends has stopped by to see me and it's so sad to me. When I get sad I would usually turn to food but since I can't , I don't know what to do. I'm 38 years old. I'm too old to make new friends. Even the coworkers that I've worked with for 16 years !! Not one of them has reached out to me. Well, just one has through text. But you get what I'm saying. I'm a great friend! I just don't get it?!!
