We don't want you being denied! Have you tried the My Fitness Pal app? It can really help with monitoring your calories & physical activity.
Adjusting is perfectly fine. I understand that. Where I'm irritated is the fact that my body is now gaining. My doctor can easily deny the surgery if I gain weight. So easy. So no, nerves are not going to be calm as this situation can easily cost me an opportunity to help better my health.
Please calm your nerves. Your is adjusting to the new you. Just be patient!I am on Day 9 or 10 of my pre-op diet & IM GAINING WEIGHT! Why on this green earth would I be gaining weight?! My Fluid intake is phenomenal, I'm hitting every last calorie and macronutrient goal you can think of, yet, I'm gaining. I'm friggin gaining! I tried implementing exercise, I've tried not exercising and just focusing on the diet. Just why! This is so incredibly discouraging because I'm literally over here STARVING from the lack of calories and gaining, when I can easily eat whatever I want and gain!
I'm following the plan to a T just so I don't have any complications post surgery. But I'm starting to lose hope. I keep telling myself to stay off the scale, but how else will I know what's working?! Just. Someone. Anyone. Please tell me what could possibly be happening or how I can fix this!! I'm trying everything I can to NOT cheat, but things like this is what's pushing me closer to the edge.
*Also, I'm aware of Water retention, etc. But I lost 7 lbs the first week. Now, it's steadily going back up. It started going up by .4, then a pound, now a few pounds. *

First of all, every person's body is different. I haven't experienced vomiting or gerd issues. I received the sleeve on 8/8/16. I'm 44 yrs old and weighed 365 lbs on the day of surgery. I went back for my one week visit and I was 350 lbs. At my one month visit I tipped the scale at 335 lbs. As of last week in 295 lbs.I am new here and I am a beginner when it comes to Forums. I am here because I am seriously considering getting gastric Sleeve Surgery. I am 28 and I weight 260lbs. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago and put on alot of weight because of pregnancy and feeling depressed.
I would like to know what are the main pros and cons of the surgery and if anyone has any advice they could give me I am more than open to it. I would highly appreciate it. I have hear about vomiting and Gerd and wanted to know how bad it is. Also how small are the portions the first month post opt. Also what is the ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1483451873.240533.jpgaverage amount of weight most people my size lost the first month?
Thank you.

If aint one thing it's another! You'll persevere.Update...
Just left the Dr's office. They want to review my info from the first bariatric Dr and let me know what they can use and what tests/steps need to be repeated with the new bariatric Dr.
The new Dr has a $600 fee that needs to be paid before surgery, which insurance doesn't cover. They are going to see if they can reduce it because I had everything done already. ????????????
...and more waiting begins...

On a whole another note. So, I guess persons who've had WLS can't have one night stands or have casual relations? IJS

I'm a firm believer that straight talk leads to a straight understanding. A person will either accept you for who you are or not, but withholding information is the same as lying. On another note. How would you feel if your friend informed you that they had an STD when you were involved in foreplay?

I have Aetna. I went to a seminar on 4/5, filled out an application and scheduled an appointment. Met with the doctor 4/11 and he informed me that I qualified and could have the sleeve early as mid July. Met with Psychologist, nutritionist and had blood work on 4/13. I'll be meeting with the Physical Therapist 4/25.
