    Concerns? Help please !

I haven't really had any gas issues...mainly because I have been burping excessively so I think it is just coming out before it becomes a big issue. LOL! Incisions are still a bit sore and I have one spot to the right of my belly button incision that is more sore but I think that I have been doing to much. I am going to rest this afternoon and see I that helps. The belly button incision is the biggest from my understanding so it stands to reason it might take longer to feel better I suppose. I know my surgeons office is more than happy to answer any questions. You should call yours. Goo luck!

    Concerns? Help please !

My doctor advised me that I wouldn't be able to get in the 64 oz at first. They suggested 24 oz of Water plus my other Clear liquids and shakes would be more realistic this early. I was also sleeved on the 27th. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Any surgery pals this week?

I'm April 27th in Michigan too! My Dr. is Dr. Zeni, who is yours? Height 5'3 SW 199. Getting excited!
  5. Thank you all for your wise words. I am probably going to tell her on Monday I just can't see not telling her. If she found out after the fact, she would be hurt and I really don't want that either. Just going to be strong and resolute and explain that I am looking for support and that I have already made MY decision. Told my 20 year old daughter tonight. She seemed ok with it. Asked some questions. She had just learned about it in a nutrition class in college! What are the odds LOL!
  6. I am a married adult with a college age daughter so why am I afraid to tell my mom that I am having Gastric Sleeve surgery next week (April 27th)? I love her dearly but she can be overbearing and I know she will try to tell me what a mistake this is, why would I permanently change my body, can’t I just do this by eating less and exercising more? But I feel so guilty for not telling her and I don’t know how I could possibly keep it a secret going forward. She is the mother who handed me two Cookies, one for each hand, when I was crying as a child. She thinks that food fixes everything and it is a central part of any get-together. (Obviously part of my problem!) Mother’s day is coming and we usually go out and do something that ends with dinner. I will be drinking shakes at that time so that will be obvious. What to do, what to do? I saw a letter on this site somewhere that the person said could be used as a template for others that laid it out pretty well as to why they were having the surgery etc. but for the life of me I can’t find it. Anybody know where I might find that?
