  11. From 487 to 229 Surgery date 11/23/16...
  12. For me it was 100lbs but I was bigger. But I lost over 230 lbs twice once on Weight Watchers and once with RNY . Each time it was right when I hit the 100 lbs mark casual people noticed ...meaning people that didn't know what I was going through.
  13. Well I know this is an old thread....but I plan to use WW as maintenance for my weight loss. I am lifetime on Weight Watchers and I guess I have a rare story in that I have lost over 230 lbs twice in my life, once with WW (kept it off 5 plus years) and this time with RNY. I just couldn't refocus so I had the surgery. I believe in WW and I think it will be an excellent tool for me as I go into Maintenance phase now.
  14. For me the Puree stage was the worst....I just pretty much stuck to the liquid diet/soups through that stage .

  18. I use an Apple watch and if you hold down the button on the watch it has a medical ID section (Same info on your phone) . Hopefully Apple has notified emergency/medical personnel and first responders how to access this information. Its really simple.
  19. I had RNY NOV 23, 2016. I was going to have the Sleeve until one month before surgery. I just changed my mind after reading about people having sleeve to RNY revisions and gaining weight back with sleeve ( I know they gain with RNY but not quit as much). Other than the surgery itself life after is pretty much same, same diet, same recovery, pretty much same everything. So I was like if I'm going to have surgery, I'm only going to do it once and go with the gold standard.
  20. My surgery date is Nov 21 . Went to my final 6mths of medically supervised appointment on 10/13 and got my approval 10/14. Surprised I got approval in 24 hrs, I'm with BCBS-GA. I have also meet my max out of pocket/deductible so I don't have to pay anything!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  22. I'm in Macon.... I've just completed my last big pre-op hurdle which was having a heart cath for cardiac clearance, Now just two more dietitian visits left and attend a group meeting. Hope to have my surgery in November. I'm using Danny Vaughn at Bariatric and Metabolic Institute Navicent Health
