  1. I think this a learning process. But you should always respect what you have inside you now. I try and think about the craziness that lead me to where I am today. I am 13 days pst op and my hunger has returned somewhat. I even put a spoon of peanut butter in my evening shake. THAT made me feel like I was bad. I just get so sick of the same flavors all the time. I also remember, I got this band to help me LIVE and Be HEALTHY. Not to see HOW MUCH I can loose. I want to eat with others or myself and be satisfied with a little of what we are having. What a GREAT feeling to know we wont have to eat those huge portions. It already gives me a little sence of peace knowing thats whats ahead. You just need to find that in yourself, not in your food.
  2. Yes it will get better. I too had issues with the left side of my neck acheing and my left back/shoulder. That has seemed to calm down. Its basically a waiting game. Although I think what bugged me the most about the bloating is that I was wanting my close to fit looser not tighter and it was a little disconcerting. Lucily I tend to show weight loss in my face first so at least some people have noticed I am down 14 lbs. My bowels on the other hand..well just waiting to get regular. I just tried putting Benefiber in my protien drinks. Lets see what happens.
  3. I love the seared ahi at Ruth Chris's. Melts in your mouth. Wow I think my stomach is churning just mentioning it. I better be careful, I am still healing inside.
  4. Thats funny! I think Ill use that next time. Thanks!
  5. I was at a friends house last night for dinner. They had tacos and I brought with me a bowl of Mexican Meatball soup. Just drank the broth part(wow a whole 1/2c maybe) That wasnt the problem. One of my husbands friends was saying I was looking good and asked me how much I have lost so far. I said 14 lbs. Then him and the husband of the friend I was visiting gave one another high 5 and said "You owe me, man!" They were making bets on my weightloss!. I found that really offensive. I just tried to talk about something else. Just need to vent. If I talk to my husband about it he'll say I am too sensitive.
  6. I think there is a difference between bleeding and spotting. I had some spotting on a blouse of mine day 2 from surgery. It was just a small area from one of my insisions. But IT STOPPED. Its NOT ONGOING. I think that would be the differnce. Are your surgery strips still on? I would think if you pull at these(like maybe what happened when you napped) they might pull at the scabs that are forming on top of the incisions.
  7. Also, cant you have anyone go with you? You shouldnt be running around the airport and handeling luggage.
  8. I am olny 9 days post op. But my fill place is within driving distance thankfully. I dont think I could afford to fly for my fills.
  9. I flew home 2 days after. My flight was a 6 hour one. I did fine. You may need to ask for a seat belt extender on the way home for the plane. You may be bloated from the gas they extend your belly from. I had no other issues except there are really not much options of anything to have on the plane. I brought with me a powder serving of crystal light to mix with water to drink. You must stay hydrated.
  10. Maybe you got something stuck. Then your pouch was aggrivated. Better discuss w/ your Dr.
  11. I asked my surgeon pre-op to put my port alower on my belly. Its the longest of my insisions. I didnt want it rubbing on my undergarments when it was healing. I tend to wear my pants and panties higher.
  12. <a href="Weight Loss Tickers Loss Tickers</a><a href="Weight Loss Tickers"> <img border="0" src="http://www.dietpillrating.com/weight-loss-tickers/img,39,74,1,pounds,250,238,145,/weight.png"></a>
  13. Hey can someone tell me what to do to get my ticker on here? THANKS!
  14. I can eat about 1/4c now. I am super cautious. I dont know if the feeling in my belly is still from being 9 days post-op or hunger. <a href="Weight Loss Tickers Loss Tickers</a><a href="Weight Loss Tickers"> <img border="0" src="http://www.dietpillrating.com/weight-loss-tickers/img,39,74,1,pounds,250,238,145,/weight.png"></a>
  15. Whats really scarry is EACH of those items I might have 1 for breakfast AND 1 for lunch And eat dinner. No wonder!
  16. I am 7 days post op now. RIght after my surgery I had no gas pains. I got up and walked the halls. My insisions arnt a problem. I had the Dr. put my port about an inch and a half below the navel and 2 inches over. I wear my pants higher and I didnt want the waistband to be rubbing on it. I think my gripe is mostly the CO2. It started about day 3. I still feel bloated and achy in my shoulder and neck. In the evening its worse. My arms and legs wanna go but my tender belly keeps me moving in a slower fashion. Dont know if the pains in my belly are from gas, or the surgery. The doctor had to fix a hiatle(sp?) hernia when he placed my band, so maybe I am more sore than others. I go to work this morning, but if I feel bad, home is where Ill be going!
  17. There again was my mistake of not measuring that soup out, I just licked that spoon from the pot I was heating it up with. Probebly about maybe 10-15 times in a row. The warmth felt good. I certainly know better now. I now put it in a condiment cup like you get in a resturant on sip. I now have shoulder and neck achyiness that wont stop.
  18. Yesterday I had a watered down creamy potatoe soup. I was dipping my spoon in and licking it off repeatedly. Then i felt a tightness in my chest which I assume is the new "full feeling". so I stopped. Then it got more painful. The uncomftable feeling lasted for more than 5 hours. I think I ate too much. So now no more of that. Ill stick to broth. I was wondering if the tight feeling maybe because the soup was hot also. Yes I am on full liquids. I also just ended and exteremly heavy period post op. Could this also be causing my fatigue?
  19. I am 6 days post op today. I havent had much of an "appeitite", I have water and a 1/4c vegetable broth, and a 160 cal 35g protein 1 carb 11oz drink that I take 1hr to drink. I feel a tightness in my belly and lots of shoulder pain. I dont have much energy to so much although I have walked around for the pain some. I was noticing my vision seemed a little fuzzy, this is bothering me to the point of tears. My urine is light colored so I know i am getting enough hydration. I think Ill call my doctor. I know I cant be functioning right with just 200c a day, right?
  20. I was told no gum because you get too much air sucked in. I am also paranoid to get anything stuck if I accidently swallowed it. I have childrens gummie vitamins I suck on but I keep it anchored between my cheek and gum and slowly let it dissolve. When it starts to get smaller and slippery I spit it out.
  21. As far as things I am missing now, I think about all the EXCESS I pigged out on to get me here and I dont feel so bad. Besides, everyone is different and you might be able to eat some later and be o.k. The BIG change will be how much you can take in will be way different.
  22. Are you talking about your pubic mound? I have noticed mine is puffy looking and the hair on top is kind of sparse and more to the sides of the mound. I thought it was my fat that really stetched out my mound and when I loose weight the mound size will shrink and the sides of the mound will be more centered again. Does this make sence to anybody?
  23. My nutritionist told me juice to watered down to 75% water and 25% juice. She said its not because of irratation to the new stomac- but it has way too many calories for me. I was 240 at surgery and am 238 on a 5ft 2 frame on my 4th day post op. At this stage I am lucky to get in about 500 cal a day. Isnt that a bit exteme at this stage? Juice has too many calories? How else are you going to get the vitamins my body needs.
  24. I am now 4 days post op and I have pressure in my belly but I also have been farting ALOT. I thought maybe because of the fact that I havent been able to go number 2 since the operation. I feel like I am going to pop sometimes.
  25. Hi all. My surgury was April 1. I still have a few days til I go back to work. I have told some of my co-workers what I am doing for myself. I did a week of liquids in the break room with them. Most everyone seems happy for me. I do have a few immature people I know that think its funny to wave things(ie-chips, cookies, chicken nuggets) at me asking if I want them. I can say no and thats not the issue right now. I am just wondering if I should just maybe have my lunch alone for a while so I can get past this liquid stage for the next 2 weeks. The first day post op my DH ate a big mac and a large fry in front of me. I am really not hungry much right now but I know this will keep happeneing. I am a stickler with being careful now, I guess I am surprized at the inconsiderness of others.
