    Everything hurts!

I am 3 1/2 weeks post sleeve. Just now starting to feel better. The gas was hell. My incision sites hurt so bad, I cred everyday. But I also ended up with a really bad Uti/kidney infection. So I think I took longer to heal. They cut my pain meds off after 2 weeks. So I understand how you are feeling, but I promise, it will get better. Once you start putting on your smaller clothes, you will know you made the right decision. Good luck to you! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

Yes, and they just tell me that sometimes it takes a few weeks for that to heal. Trying to be patient! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

  4. I was sleeved on 4/12/16. I am back to work, and really struggling with the diet. I prepare my food for the day, and proportion it. But staying on a schedule is hard when your very busy. Trying to eat and drink with that 30 minute rule. Also, has anyone ever heard of your suture popping? My surgeon told me that the biggest incision has a suture inside, and it will eventually pop. Well I still have abdominal pain there so much that I am unable to do alot of things. Still can't power walk or workout. Hurts to twist or strain? Lots of pain

First off thank you everyone. I did call my surgeon today, and they said it could take 3-4 weeks for the suture inside to finally heal, and that the pain can become severe at times. I went out to a few places today, and had to hold my abdomen (it's lower left ab pain) most of the time. But I agree with you all, and I am calling my PCP tomorrow. Lots of pain

I am 15 days post-op, and the pain at/around my largest incision is still so painful. (I am currently crying in pain & it's 4 in the morning ). I have a high tolerance to pain, but this us awful. I asked my surgeon about it at my first post-op visit, and he said that I have a large suture inside there that will eventually "pop" and u will begin to feel better. I can't even stand straight up most days. Pain meds don't make much difference. Anyone else have this problem? He also told me that during surgery, my spleen was bleeding, and he had to repair/suture that to stop the bleeding. When I asked him about it, he actually acted offended /defensive. He says he did not accidentally nick my spleen. He then said " this is why I usually don't even tell pts about it, because they get all worried and upset, when it's a very common thing and nothing to worry about". I feel like he is really just blowing me off Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

    Taking the vitamins

Thank you everyone. I did discuss with my doctor already, and the only other choice. is a different brand that you take 1 tablet 4 times a day. It's not any better than the 3 I'm taking twice a day, and the Iron 3 times a day. But thanks again ya'll ☺ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App

Surgery 6 days ago, anyone else?

Congratulations. I am 14 days post-op, and lost 8 lbs . But I haven't lost anymore in 5 days. Very frustrated. Especially when i am only getting to have full liquids & 4 ozs at a time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App
  13. I am 14 days post-op. But the bariatric Vitamins they have me on are so hard to get down. They are huge, and have to dissolve in your mouth. I have to take them 3 times per day. I can barely get them down. They are chalky and dry. I gag just waiting for them to dissolve. My sister had bypass about 10 yrs ago, and all she had to take was 3 chewable childrens Flintstones.
