I actually do hiccup once I'm full. I think the big thing is slowing down when you eat, but don't eat for more than 30 minutes at a time.

Today marks 90 days post op for me! Surgery was 2/12/16 Highest Weight: 399.4 Surgery Weight: 381.4 Current Weight: 336.4 63 lbs down total! Some NSV's: I no longer take up more than 1/2 of the loveseat at my parents house. I can sit in chairs without fear that I'm not going to fit. I can walk up stairs or walk in general without being out of breath. I no longer have the automatically grab the biggest size a store offers. I feel overall more confident. Before/Current photo: Scar Update: I created a cookbook: I said it right, I created a cookbook! After tons of feedback that I had received from followers on Facebook and Instagram, I turned my photos into real recipes to share with the world. My 90 day mark is Thursday, here's a before and after with being 64 lbs down!

Take pictures and also measurements! The scale doesn't show the whole picture. I never realized how big I was until I saw pictures - you might need to see pictures to see how much you've "shrunk". I've definitely taken photos and that's really the only thing that is helping me through the changes.

Hi. I'm semi-new here, but have been lurking the threads for quite some time. I was sleeved in Mexico on 2/12/16. High weight: 399.4 Surgery weight: 381.4 Current weight: 341.2 I'm down a total of 58.2 since January and 40.2 since surgery. I'm having a really hard time mentally feeling like I haven't been very successful so far. I know that it's going to take time and patience, but it's hard when I'm not seeing results like I wish that I was seeing results. I haven't dropped in my pants sizes just yet, only slightly in tops. Have any of you went through this? I think my struggle with this is because I went to Mexico and I don't have a local surgeon who is cheering me on during check ups and stuff. I have established a general practitioner to help with this, but not a surgeon that's been through it all with me.

@@Christinamo7 I can definitely agree with that. I had a great weigh in this week with a 6 lb loss, which is more than what I typically average. I think it's also hard because I live in my body everyday so I don't see the loss like others do.

You need to poop! Once you do, weight yourself again and you'll be so shocked. Also, make sure that you are getting in your protein and water. I had a 3 lb gain at 3 weeks out and it was devastating. It was also time for my period, so I was bloated from that. You'll get over this hump sooner than you know.

I use Nature's Valley gummies. I know everyone says not to, but my doctor ran tests and they were fine. Just chew them really well so that your body will absorb it all.

I struggled with trying to decide if I wanted to tell everyone or not. I don't think it's too late to be open and honest and I think that it will help you feel better and more confident about your decision. I try to not approach people about suggesting that they have it, because I feel like that's rude. However, at least once a week I have someone message me and ask me about my journey and they tell me that they are interested. I know it's scary to reveal the truth, but I think it'll play in your favor ultimately.

I had surgery in Mexico, and they performed a leak test before I was in recovery and then one before I was able to leave the hospital. They make sure that you don't. However, yes, you would just need to go to your local emergency room if something is wrong.

I'm 7 weeks post-op so far!
