NuHorizons got a reaction from berry girl in Just revised from Sleeve to MGB
    Hello everyone
I've been MIA for awhile because I was to lazy to locate my login information. Lol! All is well though. I'm almost 2 years out and I still love my mini bypass. I currently weigh129lbs and I'm still losing weight. Here's a before/after pic. The 1st one was taken 2 days after surgery in Tijuana. My after pic was taken November 2018. I'm glad to be back. Pleae let me know if you have any questions regarding MGB

    Hi All
Here's a brief update of my Sleeve to MGB progress. The before pic was taken in the hospital after my revision. I was 247 pounds then. The pic on the right was taken today. I weigh 187 pounds. I've lost 60 pounds since my surgery(02/10/17) and 66lbs since my pre-op diet. I think my weight loss is pretty good for a revision patient and I'm on track to finally reach my weight loss goal. I'm so happy that I got my sleeve revised!

I just was converted from the lapland to the sleeve on July 10th. I am doing well.
I don't know anything about a mini sleeve. I can already tell this sleeve operation was a great decision. I am already 10 lbs away from my goal weight because I kept the lapland and did not gain back. This is another adjustment, but not more sticking of food, indigestion, throwing up....much much better.
Now to get the Protein in and Water. It is a challenge right now.
Best to you on your upcoming surgery

My high weight was 269. I had the sleeve that cause my reflux to get worse and I could not lose any weight. Since The mini gastric bypass I am down to 163 my lowest weight since high school long ago. I fit into a size 10 business suit today and just about cried. They left photo was taken right before my revision surgery and the right one last week.

Here's the link to my testimony after my surgery.
Please read it. If you have any more questions let me. I'm down 64lbs total since my revision. My weight loss is much better than when I first got my sleeve in 2010. I plan on giving a detailed update next week around my 5month post op.

Great info. I started C25K approx. 4 months ago and petered out on it because I was trying to run faster than my 5'2" frame would carry me given the timeframe and the 30 minute 5k goal. I stopped the program, slowed myself down and started alternating sprint intervals with long runs. Once I slowed down, I could easily run for an hour at a time. Now I'm up to a 4mph long run pace and I can do 1 mile sprints in 13 minutes 16 seconds and getting faster everyday. I run 6 days a week in that alternating pattern which was suggested by my nutritionist. 1 hour runs on long days and 15 minute runs followed by 30 minutes of circuit training and concluding with another 15 minute run. On circuit days I do the first 15 minute in sprints and the second one, I just keep my butt moving for 15 minutes, time be damned.
I have seen very little change in the amount of weight I lose, but the cardiac benefits are already showing. My average resting heart rate is 53 and is considered very good for my age. My lung capacity has improved exponentially and in general I feel unstoppable.

I would also HIGHLY recommend watching the documentary From Fat to Finish Line if you haven't yet. It's on most of the streaming sites now, including iTunes to rent or buy. I watched that last year and it got me motivated to start interval running, and I have done a number of 5ks since then. After surgery, one of my big goals to work towards is to complete a 10k and then a half marathon

the mini has excellent results but has a risk of GERD. but then so does the sleeve.
if you happen to be one who doesn’t end up with bad reflux then you’ll be sound as a hound.

NuHorizons reacted to Introversion in Stomach Stretching is a Myth
The majority of people who have had a gastric sleeve for longer than a couple of years (including me) will tell you that their stomachs have 'relaxed' enough to accommodate a significantly larger volume of food.
People are reluctant to use the word 'stretch,' but those early pre-op days of becoming full off 3 to 5 bites of food do not last very long for most sleevers.
I could eat no more than 3 ounces during the first couple of pre-op months. Now I'm 2.5 years out and can consume 8 to 10 ounces, depending on how soft or rigid the food is. In other words, my capacity has tripled.
It is up to me to not eat to my sleeve's capacity.....
