  1. Update Day 13 (11/6/17) I am on a two week post op all liquid diet. I have 7 more days to go and it is not easy. I crave something other then liquid!! But the craving is not the strong, and goes away quickly. Especially after I drink a shake lol. I am going to become a protein shake mixologist! I am down to 243, starting from 250...17 pounds down.
  2. Right, now only about an ounce or so.
  3. Doing well. Down 18 pounds. Doc has me on 3 protein drinks a day until Nov 13th. Then on to purees.
  4. Thanks for your videos and all your support!
  5. Feeling good. Down 17 pounds. Doc has me on 3 protein shakes a day until nov 13. Not that bad. Not easy, but the surgery worked as I no longer have the insatiable cravings!
  6. I would stay clear of the chewables...especially in the hospital right after surgery. I took the Gas x strips for only a few days after the surgery.
  7. Still available on Amazon. Gas X Thin Strips
  8. Darn, that stinks. Try Amazon, that is where I got mine.
  9. Thank you sooo much!! How is it going with you?
  10. Of course your mom freaked, most Moms notice when you loose 5 pounds lol. I won"t be seeing my Mom until Thanksgiving so we'll see how that goes.
  11. Thanks everyone!! Gonna weigh myself weekly instead of daily. Starting tomorrow lol.
  12. Day 7 Update (10/31/17) Happy Halloween!! Had my first Post Op appointment with Surgeon yesterday..weighed in at 244! Down from 260, so that is 16 pounds lost. Nobody has really noticed, but that is ok. I am sure my mom will when she visits on Thanksgiving. Doc has me on 3 Protein shakes a day for the next two weeks until my next appointment which is Nov 13th. Feeling good, NOT hungry at all which is a nice change. Taking my water in one sip sip sip at a time. So will post again soon.
  13. I have a thread dedicated to my Journey that started about a year ago..I will be posting updates there.. please come join me! KILLIAN'S GASTRIC SLEEVE JOURNEY
  14. Pretty good. Doc has me on 3 protein shakes a day for next two weeks...so that might be tough...but otherwise...no pain or dizzyness, NOT hungry, and enjoying the weight coming off.
  15. My throat was a little dry, no problems swallowing whatsoever.
  16. I am 6 days out from surgery, and have been loosing about a pound a day. Until this morning, I weighed myself this morning and was +1.3 pounds. Is this normal? I know your body can fluctuate weight daily, but still a pound and a half gained??
  17. Day 4 Update (10/27/17).feeling alot better. Walking around and getting my water down. Lost 5.3 pounds already. Best of all? NOT hungry and NO craving battle to fight.
  18. I think going back to work that Monday is in the realm of possibility. All depends on how you react to the anestesia. I am 3 days post op and I could see going back to work Day 6 or Day 7 IF I had a desk job, which you said you do. If you were a construction worker, or a welder or something, I would say take another week.
  19. Very normal I hope. I am just two days Post Op...just got home from the hospital yesterday. Had the exact same feelings you are having now. I just focused on how I am going to feel abouy myself come this Christmas after I have my "new tool installed"
  20. I was annoyed that my insurance required 4 month waiting with supervised dieting and a whole bunch of other docs I had to visit. But, as I went through the docs, each one I visited was on board with my decision. The endochronoligist, pulminary, primary care, etc. Gave me great confidence to hear that their patients have had it done and were actually able to get off meds! I also ised the 3 months to practice sipping, not eating 30 min before and 30 after meals. So use the time wisely to increase your chance of success, it will be here quick.
  21. Home and settled in. Never knew how many damn food commercials there is on TV.
  22. Discharged today at 12:15! Not nauseous, but on meds for that..have a patch behind my ear until tomorrow. They did give me a sript to take as needed if nauseous.
