  1. Starting the journey on April 13th 8am..I am in the parking lot of my local Bariatrics surgeon office waiting for it to open. Today is the initial seminar. Today is the beginning of my journey. Will insurance cover? Will I have 6 month waiting period? Stay tuned...
  2. @@auroradawn so, are you going to share the name of your blog or maybe even the link? ☺

  4. I'm not sure yet. She said she would send me my letter as soon as possible so my surgeons office won't schedule me till they get the letter. She said they were scheduling for the first of may right now so I'm hoping I can jump in there Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using the BariatricPal App Good luck and congratulations. Hope all goes well. Be sure to send a before and after pic to Cigna.
  5. @Ashoryb congrats on getting approved!! When is the surgery? Keep us posted.
  6. I am not ashamed of having the surgery...but I am lying about it to avoid uninformed, factless yet well-intentioned opinions. I simply just don't want to hear it. As someone else on this thread said:"there is only room enough in my head for me."
  7. @miss_smiles Work in NYC and I hear ya about the subway. Can't wait until I dont spill over into the next seat...seeing someone searching for a seat yet choose to stand instead of sitting next to me for fear of my fat touching them...look forward to when running up the stairs to catch the M train is not a big deal., not turning sideways to get through the turnstile...

  11. I plan on it. Insurance has a 6 month waiting period....going to give it a good solid honest try and see how I am at the end of the 6 nonths.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using the BariatricPal App You need to be honest with yourself. Do you really think you can keep it off? Loosing the weight isn't the hardest part its keepi g it off long term. Based on your past experiences with dieting do you think you will be able to keep it off if you don't have surgery? If I am being honest with myself, I can loose the weight but I dont think I can keep it off. 14. Thank you for your response. I am very much afraid of "buyers remorse". I am 42 now and wonder if at age 50 I will be thinking I should've just had more self control... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using the BariatricPal App
