  1. Got discharged today (10/25/17) at 12 noon. On water only until Saturday the 28th. Then start Protein on Sunday the 29th.
  2. Just had surgery yesterday (10/24/17). In fact still in my hospital room waiting to.be discharged. The best way to describe the pain is: I feel like I did waay too many sit.ups and crunches at the gym. Abdomen is sore, but it is bearable.
  3. Feeling good! Kinda feels like just overdid the sit ups at the gym...so not bad at all.
  4. Thanks! Currently it is 08:30 on 10/25/17, I am hoping for sometime around Noon.
  5. Wow, our numbers and age are close. You lost 15 pounds in 18 days? Congrate to you my friend! Thanks@BuffaloBill! If I have any questions will PM you.
  6. We made it! Next stop: The Losers Bench!! Whoo hoo!
  7. Oh! One more thing: a small fan. Oa side effect of the anti nasuea medicine causes you to heat up and sweat. And boy, was heating up and sweating. So the awesome nurses brought me a fan. So glad they did. And more glad they did not take it away..the breeze felt great and moving the air around in the room helped alot too.
  8. I am in the hospital right now as I type this. (Tuesday, Oct 24, 2017) and wanted to share with you guys a couple of items to bring that I had and was sooo glad I did. 1. Sunglasses / eye cover sleep mask Why? My room was directly across from the nurses station and the light poured into my room. Luckily for me I had my old sunglasses in my back pack from when I used to commute on the train. They blocked the train car light on the 4am train. Need my beauty sleep! 2. Noise canceling headphones Why? These come in handy for all the machines that go "ping". And, like I said, I was directly across.from the nurses station so I didnt have to hear them. 3. Gas-x STRIPS Why? They freakin' work. I had some gas pains and took these. 10 min later pain was gone. 4. Loose fitting shorts / sweatpants Why? I wore silky basketball type shorts. So when I would be walking around the ward, no one can see my precious hiney. Plus, they are comfortable. 5. Phone / I pad Why? Alot of downtime. Dont forget toiletries!
  9. 10/24/17 9PM Woke up in bearable pain. Feels like I overdid it on sit ups..and that is not bad. Not having any trouble getting the water down. (Sip sip sip!) Just went for my first walk around the Bariatric Ward and so far so good. Staff here at Bon Secors in Port Jervis, NY is amazing. No wonder they won an award!
  10. 10/24/17 09:00 I am in the hospital right now in Pre Op! A bit nervous
  11. Nice! I just recieved te Miracle 360 sippy cup. It is a toddler cup that only allows small sips. Should come in handy. Good luck to us!
  12. Holy $h!t! my surgery is tomorrow!! Am I really going to take 2/3 of my stomach out? Yup. Except, I am not looking at it as having something removed, instead I view it as having a tool installed to help me fight constant cravings. SW: 260
  13. As I type this, I am at my PRE OP appointment! So..stats: SW: 260 BMI: 38% Getting blood work done and reviewing my meds. My surgery is Tues. Oct 24 2017
  14. Let your husband be negative. You dont need his support. He is good for other things. Get the support you need somewhere else. You have us and this forum..there are facebook groups. My insurance required that I attended two meetings at a support group that my surgeon's office has. Glad they did because now I go on my own. Maybe your surgeon's office has one? If not maybe find one on your own? If that fails you have us! PM me anytime.
  15. You can call your insurance company and find out if it is even covered and if so, what are the requirements. Also, your surgeon's office might have an insurance person that will find out for you or probably already knows.
  16. Congratulations!! You got this!
  17. Have 'nt heard from you since you went in for surgery...hope all is well
  18. I have had a machine for about 10 years now. It is awesome, cant sleep without it. I use the pillow mask that goes in yoir nose and works great.
