For those worried about excess skin...

How long were you overweight? I know my doctor said that can play a factor as well. But either way you look fantastic. Congratulations Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    My gp's opinion

People gain weight back after the bypass as well. Both surgeries require to learn better eating habits and make a lifestyle change. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. My mom had surgery 5 years ago and I went with her to her meetings and had wanted me to do it with her. I chose not to but after watching how successful she was and seeing that she wasn't having significant issues and lived normally I decided to look into it more. Your daughter will see your success and will come to her own conclusion when she's ready. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. Has anyone used the Tespo for their Vitamins? I've been looking at it as it seems it might be easier to get my vitamins in and they now have a bariatric formula. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Beginning the journey

I hope your surgery went well @@Reason to Believe. I have completed all the requirements I surgeon requires(ekg, sleep apnea test, upper scope) so now I have three weigh ins left before it can be submitted to surgery. My sister found out I was going through the process and decided she didn't want me to be smaller than her so she decided to do it and her surgery is next week. She's rushing into it because she flat out told me she refuses to let me weigh less than her. This process has been frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
