How long were you overweight? I know my doctor said that can play a factor as well. But either way you look fantastic. Congratulations

People gain weight back after the bypass as well. Both surgeries require to learn better eating habits and make a lifestyle change.

My mom had surgery 5 years ago and I went with her to her meetings and had wanted me to do it with her. I chose not to but after watching how successful she was and seeing that she wasn't having significant issues and lived normally I decided to look into it more. Your daughter will see your success and will come to her own conclusion when she's ready.

My surgery should be in November as well. I have no comorbidities either but my BMI qualifies. I'm ready for November to get here.

You look phenomenal, great job. I'm outside of KC and will be having my surgery in November. I hope I do just as well.

Has anyone used the Tespo for their Vitamins? I've been looking at it as it seems it might be easier to get my vitamins in and they now have a bariatric formula.

I didn't snow any symptoms but since my dad has sleep apnea and it is hereditary they did have me do a sleep study which I passed.

I hope your surgery went well @@Reason to Believe. I have completed all the requirements I surgeon requires(ekg, sleep apnea test, upper scope) so now I have three weigh ins left before it can be submitted to surgery. My sister found out I was going through the process and decided she didn't want me to be smaller than her so she decided to do it and her surgery is next week. She's rushing into it because she flat out told me she refuses to let me weigh less than her. This process has been frustrating.

I'm not a guy but I am in Kansas City so I will answer about doctors. The KC Bariatric team has been wonderful through my process. I will be having my VSG in November with Dr. Aragon and would highly recommend his office.

I have a 2000 deductible to meet before my insurance will pay and then I still have a copay. I'll be paying $3000 out of pocket

I had the option between my pcp or their nutritionist and I chose their nutritionist. The reason being I have seen some get denied since the pcp didn't have things documented the way insurance wanted and my nutritionist knows exactly how everything must be documented and she is teaching me so much about food and fueling my body.

My surgeon said no matter the start BMI they always remove the same because the body will determine the final weight and there was no need to change the sleeve size. Self pay is 12,000 where I am.

Good luck. I'm just beginning my journey. I wish insurance would just look at our BMIs and/or health issues and approve.
