11 months and need some assistance

Hi! I'm nearly 7 months post-op. I have a huge compulsion problem. None of my tips work alone, but together they're helping me a lot. - buy new clothes. it feels amazing. - stay away from temptation. I actually have to talk my self out of going to fast-food joints, to just GO HOME. - make your home a good environment: only healthy food. - know that it's okay to feel angry and frustrated. - also know that 20 chicken nuggets will only make you more frustrated. I actually say that to myself: remember how miserable it feels after you're done eating. - I've been in therapy and frankly it saved my life. - talk to friends and family about it. - see photos of you at the hospital. do it for the past you, the one suffering from gas pains. - negotiate with yourself: ok, I can eat nuggets, but only after I eat this mini-carrot. If you feel full you're less likely to give in. (as you can see nuggets are my achilles heel) - yoga helps with anxiety and it's a good hobby.

Questions to the ones who Had GASTRIC BYPASS!

Hi! I'm almost seven months post-op. I lost 82 lbs. So I'll share my experience So after you had gastric bypass surgery do you still feel hungry or not? Yes. Both actual hunger and head hunger (aka cravings). But I only felt actual hunger after 90 days. Did you have any gas pain? Yes, I had gas pain. For me what helped (and still does) is: walking. Also, ask someone you love to tap your back to help break the gas... Like someone would do with a baby. What is the most important thing to prepare myself for this surgery in November? The first 15 days are tough, but hang in there. It's the best thing I ever did.

What did I do to myself?

It gets better, every day. I'm two months out and I'm sure it was the best thing I ever did. Try to rest and walk when you can. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Ok, this is totally TMI but I need help. I had surgery on 3/19, and up to 10 days ago I was doing fine. I lost over 50 lbs and I feel great most of the time. I can eat almost everything by now (of course, no sugar, no fat, no carbonated drinks and no alcohol) but the past few days I've been really constipated. I never had problems like this before, on the contrary, if you know what I mean. I eat plenty of fruit (i admit I've been a little lazy with vegetables, eating only once a day), and every time I have to go is a struggle. I go days without having to go. Can anyone help? 15. Hi I already lost 35 lbs and it hasn't been a month since surgery. However, in the last few days I've been having crazy cravings for fries, burgers, pizza, chicken nuggets. I know that if I try to have any of that at the very least I'll throw up. But still, I could kill someone for their nuggets. I want to stab someone with a carrot.
