I am down 84 lbs since august 2015 and I feel like a whole new person!!

I thought the post located directly before your right now had a complementary title (it's unrelated, but the sequence of these two post's titles are funny).

Since my journey began in September 2014 I set a goal to run a 5k. I accomplished that goal yesterday. Finishing the 5k in 26 minutes. I began my journey at 222 pounds. pounds.

As of today I have lost 200lbs. I started at 439 and today 239. My goal was to reach 239 by April 1st, but with God's help, hard work at the gym by burning 2000 - 2100 calories a day in cardio and weightlifting and eating around 1100 to 1200 calories a day i have hit my goal much earlier than expected. I'm so proud of myself because i haven't weighed under 250 since i was 13 years old and I'm 38 now. For anyone thinking they can't lose the weight use my story as inspiration because it can be done, and i will help anyone that wants to try. I have to thank my husband and kids for keeping me focused everyday and loving me. I also can't forget the rest of my family, who has also given me the encouragement i needed also.

My surgery is scheduled for April 18th. I've already bought all my Vitamins and such, and have started my 2 week pre-op liquid diet. Now that I know I have the time off work that I need, my last huge worry is the amount that my co-pay for the surgery itself will be. I have been told I'll have to pay it the day of surgery and I am terrified I won't have enough money for it. I'm trying to not stress too much and stay positive, but this could potentially put everything at a screeching halt and I can't imagine not having the surgery at this point. I guess just pray for me guys, and if you don't pray please keep me in your thoughts or send some good vibes my way!

Last summer I was able to wear 2 piece, but with a coverup. I was still conscious of my tummy and thighs. But after recovering from plastics and working HARD in the gym 5-6 days a week, I can officially say that I will be hitting the beach this spring without a coverup. When I put on my 2 piece and saw my pic, I think I cried and cried for a good 10 minutes. Cried for my experience as an obese person, cried for the struggles of life post-op, cried because I WORKED HARD for this dang it, and I have finally arrived. People...I have FINALLY arrived!
Sorry for the crappy picture! My husband "cleaned it" with something that was not Windex...and I have yet to purchase a full length mirror! Isn't crazy how our past obesity still rules us even after we've shed the weight. Ugh! I am going to go and buy a full length mirror today!

Ahh the mugcake. my go to item. that has really helped me exist and lose and maintain to be honest.
heres alink tot he videos section where i demonstrate it. many people here use these . basically its a Protein powder ( needs to have egg albumen in the ingrediats list or you w could add some egg white. , and baking powder , then a liquid. and a microwave and voila. its not exactly a cake but its cake like, and its more like a cross between a cake and say bread pudding.

So I debated posting about this.. but I was in such awe over this, and I think only my fellow female WLS peeps can appreciate this. (And i'm grown, married, blah, blah, blah...).
Hubby and I were having some special time. Off he went to "lady town" (Grey's Anatomy fans should get that). And I realized... I can *see him*. My stomach was not blocking my view of him. For the slightest second it seemed awkward cause, I've just never had that full view before. It was a serious, momentary, mind trip!
So...NSV qualified, or too risque?

As the first thing they want you to do after surgery is walk, my surgeon does not use a cath. And with them pumping IV Fluid the urge comes rather quickly after waking.
That being said, even with a cath, I don't see the need to be clean shaven. I was not worried, I make sugar wax at home to use. Cheap and easy, and for some reason my husband likes to help. Ok that was TMI.
