Surgery on the 5th, went well,except I dehydrated. Had to stay over night for fluids.Had excellent care.I`m glad to be home though.Having very little pain, very little gas, and very little appetite.I hope all goes well for all of you and will keep all in my prayer`s.

turned in paperwork 6/5, approved 7/21, for surgery 8/5, After 6 month supervised diet, syke evaluation, dietation, and labs, cigna epo finally approved. I cannot figure out why it took 6 long weeks for the insurance gods to make a decision. I hope no one else has to wait that long, it was hell.

Called cigna today, the insurance gods now have packet in medical review. hopefully will have word soon.

Hello all future bandsters, Like most of you, I to am waiting for the insurance gods to smile upon me to. I called my Dr`s office today to see if they have heard anything, I was informed that the gods have until the 21st of this month. My packet was turned on June 10th. I was told my 30 day period in which they have to make a decision did not start until the god`s got it in their hands. If they wait till the 21st I will be waiting for 6 loooooong weeks. I wanted to let everyone know this so you can ask the question up front and not have to go thru all this waiting. Know when the time starts, and how long you ins company can take before they have to let you know their decision. Good luck to all of you ,and may the gods smile on you.

Hi Rose, I went to lapband.com. I got a list of Dr`s. in my area, their office locations, and the names of the hospitals they use. I also found a link for seminare`s, with dates, times, and locations. When I made my choice of those, it gave me a contact number to sign up for the seminar. My Dr. conducted the meeting. Hi Kimberly, I wish I would have thought to download the guide. It may have saved my nerves from becoming so rattled. Yes, I have been on the 6 mo. diet. It hasn`t been to bad. They say no carbs, but as a type 2 diabetic, I had to have a very small amount to keep my sugar level from bottoming out. Which the diet has really helped me get that under control. BMI 42. Hopefully, this and other medical problems, I`ll not be rejected. I`ve read that others with cigna have not had to wait long. Maybe this is a bad time of year. You know, vacations come up. At least I`ve not been turned down. Thanks for the prayers. I`m a firm believer in them,and Jesus Christ, the one who makes them possible. God`s speed on your new journey, and may it not be as long a wait as mine has been. I will pray for you also. MinnieMouse

Just found out cigna can take up to 30 day`s to make a decision. It has been 3 agonizing weeks. They might as well take the last week to. My nerve`s are already shot from waiting . Not to mention worried.:thumbs_up:

I to have cigna. Everything turned in 6/10. Still no word. Called today, was told nothing turned in. Called weight loss center, was told they checked on wednesday,and still no word.The waiting is hell. I planned the start on this journey so I would have all done by the 1st. of August. Now it looks like my husband and I will be recovering together.(from different surgeries) What luck!

Hi All. First post. How long does it take to hear back from the Insurance company. I am with cigna. I am very impatience.This has been a long 6 month journey.I am ready to move forward. The waiting is making me nervous.:confused2:
