You will eventually feel fatigue from your body healing + lack of calories.
Keep in mind - people post about complications FAR more than they do feeling good. That's why you feel like that's all you've read.
I didn't feel quite as good as you, but I did end up feeling like my surgery was an anomaly because I had no complications, no pain, no vomiting, no Constipation, etc.

Try drinking something a different temperature. I found my new tummy spasmed with cold liquids right after surgery, but was fine with warm things.

Still can't believe this is me!
Only 9.6 pounds to go until I hit my goal!
    I have muscles! Who knew!!!!??
I'll be hitting my 10 month post op Gastric Bypass date on July 21st! I can't believe I've lost 114 lbs in 10 short quick months! I am working hard to hit my goal by the one year surgiversary date, but if I don't then I'm not going to be too sad about it..... Cuz how can I be!?
I will say that losing the last 10 pounds are the hardest!
I may not be losing too fast as per the scale now, but I can definitely see a change in my body so I'm totally happy! !!

I didn't worry at all about food until I was able to eat enough to get all my Protein from food. While I was on purees and softs I could do about 1/4 to 1/2 cup. I would try to eat one meal a day as food, to get used to eating again and to figure out what foods I could eat. The rest was just Protein shakes.
At about 4 months now I can do about a full cup of food. I'm still planning meals solely around hitting that Protein goal so some meals may be smaller than that and some may be larger. It doesn't worry me too much if there's a little left by the time I get full, if It's just a bite I'll eat it, if it's more I'll set it aside as a snack. I make sure to eat enough to get my protein but I don't push myself to finish it all at once. Since it's all planned out daily anyway even if there's some left over it's not actually extra food.
My surgeon's office actually annoyed me a little in how quickly they wanted me completely off the shakes because I wanted to take my time in increasing portion sizes.

I'm only 4 weeks out, so I haven't experienced "normal" yet - but all of my reading and research tells me that yes, you will be able to eat just about anything you want to. Most vets talk about doing so at 18 months+, though I believe many say they could have as early as 9-10 months out, they just chose not to because they were still in the losing phase.
The time right after surgery is not our "new normal".

There are numerous threads on here that start out -- "Is there something wrong? I'm recovering so well and feel so good!"
And then dozens of people (who don't post a lot) chirp up and say, "Me, too! I thought I was the only one."
Honestly, WLS surgeries with no complications and fast, easy recoveries and little drama llama truly are the norm. Doesn't mean that other people don't have difficulties. But they're the exceptions.

Totally true, but most of them weren't doing it less than a month from surgery. I have followed a lot of people and most of them don't start expanding their diet a lot until 6 months post op.
Also if you read a lot of their posts, they don't eat a lot of they photo. I take pictures of my dinners out all the time and there is a wine glass in the picture because I am not a savage, but I don't drink wine.
I eat pizza (I make it and it is low carb, high Fiber, high protein), I eat brownies (low carb high protein), ice cream (low carb high protein), and other things once in a while like hot wings, either deep fried if I eat them out or baked at home. I have lots of fun with food, but not before 6 months. I wanted to let my stomach heal.

I second what @@Inner Surfer Girl said! Stay off the scale, walk, and sip! Just keep on keeping on and you will feel better, and you will lose weight.

I mean this in the kindest way possible.
    Stay off the scale!
Your primary job right now is healing from major surgery. That means pushing liquids and Protein, resting, and doing some walking.
The sooner you can reach your Protein and Fluid targets the better you will feel.
    Sip, sip, sip.
I HIGHLY recommend only weighing at your doctors appointments for the first few months.
About three weeks after surgery you are going to hit a stall. It will happen.

Are you taking a PPI? Acid really can feel like hunger. I scoffed at folks who said that, but after talking to my surgeon I started taking a Tums whenever I started feeling those "hunger pains" - and it really did help.

So does mine! But they're very clear on amounts, and that you can only have 1-2 tbsp if and only if you've eaten your entire Protein portion first.
And, as I type this, I'm eating some chicken on crackers. Yep! I'm allowed - and the Protein in my chicken is more than double the carbs in these itty bitty crackers, so I have no issue with it.
The only cracker I was expressly forbidden was Ritz, because they're so buttery and greasy - but they prefer Saltines if we're going to eat them at this point.

That's our recommendation as well. Except the Fluid part - if I count it as Protein, I can't count it towards my fluids.
Interestingly enough, I've now hit the point where my portions are just enough. I'm not fighting to finish 2 oz (by volume, not weight) like I was, but it satisfies me.

Don't fear it gets better and you just need to try to in increase your sip sizes daily. I think back when I started out sipping from a medicine bottle cap after surgery and 8 months later I can do 80-90 oz's in a day easily.
