As you know, it's totally normal, and you've done nothing wrong. 10 days you're just healing and weight loss isn't the main goal right now. Focus on healing, liquids and Protein. Good luck, you'll be fine!

It's totally normal.. it will last for a while, maybe like a month. Don't worry about it unless it looks infected.

Week 3 Is a normal stall that mostly everyone gets. Don't expect weight loss till week 6. Theres no need to beat yourself up over Chinese food. Yes, you could have hurt your body. However, you can learn from this lesson that getting some help for that anxiety, depression and eating disorder is really important and that the sleeve Is not a magic bullet. You will be OK.

It's normal to feel nervous or want to back out. You have to be real with yourself and ask yourself where you'll be in a year, 5 years, 10 years if you continue on your path you've been on? If you're like me, you can't do it on your own, or else you already would have. The problem with your eating, is that you've allowed yourself to believe the lie that it is giving you a quality life. It is not. It is giving you a shorter, tougher and sadder life. Don't let your food addiction trick you.

Mine stalls around my period, or pms but then I lose a few pounds in like 1 day so it's not really a stall.

I don't wish I knew how nauseated I would be, or I might not have done it! This was the best choice for me. I would have never been able to lose the weight like I have if I hadn't done it. I wish I knew how much better I would feel and I would have done it sooner. I also somewhat wish I knew how my personality would change. I don't take as much shit from people. I'm OK with that.

Where did you have your surgery and with what surgeon? No one has told me why I developed an abscess. A friend of mine who had the same surgery at the same place is gravely ill in hospital with an abscess on her spleen. Neither of our abscesses can be drained due to their dangerous positions.

Totally normal. You'll see some loss at about 2 weeks out, then have a stall at 3 weeks. Real weight loss happens after 6 weeks when your body is more healed. It's totally normal.

I am pescetarian, meaning I eat fish but no other meat. I get a lot of Protein from Beans, nuts, tofu, and fish. I don't always make my Protein goals but that's mostly because I can't eat very much and so even if i was eating animal based protein, it'd be the same issue.

Who says they stop losing after 3? I just hot 3 months ago couple of weeks ago and still losing, but I haven't heard this and it scares me!Today was a good day. I passed the 38 pound mark since my procedure. But more importantly, I passed the 100 pound mark since my all time high. I couldn't be happier! :-) Furthermore, while I am pretty good at getting regular exercise in, I struggle to get in over 10,000 steps a day. But today I did it for the first time in I don't know how long! In fact, I am almost at 12,000 now, and I have not even had a pedometer on all day!! :-D Yup ... it's been a good day.
I've got about 2.5 months to go. Surely I can break 40 pounds, and maybe even 50, by then?!? So many people say that they stop losing after three months so I don't want to get my hopes up, but ... We shall see - fingers crossed. But even if I don't lose another pound, I would say that it's been a fruitful journey and time/money well spent.

After day 3 it really gets easier. It's hilarious because once you have the surgery, u laugh at how you were dying to slurp up every bit of broth, Protein shake, etc. And now u can take like 3 sips haha. Don't cheat, just push forward. Drink a lot of Water. I did my pre op and quit smoking at the same time. It's possible, just push through the pain

Lol my wife and I had surgery the same day. I was in a living hell, and as I'm dry heaving very loudly, I can hear her ask the nurse "is it weird that I don't feel nauseous or sore at all??".. I literally wanted to kill her lol. So anyway, you're good. Everyone's different. Be happy.

Eating too much of the same foods... Plus Protein shakes and powders reminds me of milk....I am not really a fan of dairy products

I seriously didn't know I could do it. I hoped I could do it. I wanted to do it, but I didn't even know what do it meant. I knew I couldn't do it on my own. Even with lots of reading about it, you don't really get what it means to not be able to eat more than a few bites.. when I experienced that, it's when I knew I could do it

My kids are really into eating healthy, we watch many food documentaries with them. We make kid friendly healthy food. We will make veggie wraps, or really cool Soups, Pasta out of zucchini, sloppy joes out of shredded carrots. If it's your kids you're worried about, you don't have to keep processed junk around. I literally can't have that food in my house or I would eventually eat it

Why is it that we need to do stay so low on fat? I eat nuts as a snack and they're pretty high in fat but good for us. Just curious

I have been eating lettuce, mainly dark leafy greens or spinach since about 2 months out. It's not filling, so it's one of those slider foods.. but I've never had any issues with it.
