  1. My directions were similar to Bufflehead's. At two years and two months, I can eat a cup of something dense (like chili with beans) or two cups of a green salad because it's mostly Water.

My activity level is low because of orthopedic issues, and 1,000 calories is maintenance for me.

I too am unable to be as active because of my children and some health issues but I do walk a lot . Thank you
my wife and I are both getting surgery next week but we're wondering how people can exercise without being able to drink a lot of Water at once or really consume very many calories...

  2. I'm sorry that you had negative experiences with your after-care in Mexico. I hate that certain surgeons and programs give Mexican surgery a bad rep. Definitely one of the reasons to fully research your surgeon and the surgical center prior to surgery. I have been very fortunate to have had excellent post-op care in Mexico after both of my surgeries there (plastics in 2011 and VSG in 2014). Hopefully your post will serve to better inform future potential patients so they can make the best decision for themselves.

where did you get yours done? I'm scheduled with dr garcia with Tijuana bariatrics...

  3. I know there are a bunch of us doing online dating.

I started talking to this guy who lives in Portland which is 4 hours away from where I live. We talked every day for 2 weeks, sometimes morning and evening. This is really against the rule I have for myself, which is not to waste a lot of my time on the phone with guys I've found online.

This guy was different though. He was funny, and smart. I decided I wanted to meet him and my son lives in Portland, so I decided to visit my son and DIL. Right up until the day before I was ready to go, we were in contact and he was all for us meeting. All of a sudden, he doesn't text back and the phone goes straight to VM.

Being the smart cookie that I am, I arranged to meet some other guys while I'm here. I found guys whom I normally would not contact since I live so far away. I made sure they like to dance. Out of 4 guys who were writing every day, and all for us meeting, only one has not disappeared on me. Two of them I forced to write back to me when they suddenly stopped answering emails. It pi$$ed me off that they would just take the easy way out. I wrote to them and said if you've changed your mind, you could at least write back and say so. I was disappointed I would not be making a new friend, but life was full of disappointments.

I could understand it if we were in our 20's . But men in their 50's and 60's not having the manners to form an email that said it was not going to work out to get together after all, kinda makes me sick.

    catfish!

  4. My wife and I are both scheduled for the GS on 3/28 with dr. Garcia through Tijuana bariatrics. We have been talking to Alisha and Curt. I am supposed to pay tomorrow.. I am very nervous that it is a scam. the emails we receive are very long winded, personal and not as professional as I would think they would be. Has anyone worked with these people? I have read many good reviews on Dr. Garcia but I would like to make sure other people have booked with them, and that it's legitimate. Please respond ASAP as I have to pay by tomorrow. Thank you!!
