I am leaving for Tiajana Mexico In less than 24 hours, last night I was feeling greatful for this amazing opportunity and sent a pm to my surgeon to tell him how excited that I was to meet him. Then I asked him how it felt to be a hero to so many. Within a few minutes I had a message back. DR.Illan replied saying he was ready to meet me and he loves seeing his patient's live change and health improve!!! SERIOUSLY never would you have that kind of personal contact with your provider in the states!! If you have doubts about this group message me. I am a believer.

Hi every one. 24 hours post op here in TJ Mexico.spending time with my surgery buddys,forming friendships to last the miles and a lifetime. No pain meds needed after morning dose. Passed swallow test juice and Water going down well. DR. ILLAN'S team have been wonderful. ALEx B. I am proud to say i went with Bill Yanez and team Mexico!
Ihave been a nurse for 30+ years the last 15 in executive roles have the utmost confidence in this team. Feel free to pm me with any questions.

I dealt with Bill Yanez to do mine through BariatricPal Mexico with Dr. Illan, and it couldn't have been easier.
My mom was so impressed with my results, that I am flying to San Diego in the morning to take her for surgery.

I am having surgery this Thursday July 28 revising a sleeve to mini gastric bypass. The MX team will pick me up in San Diego and drive me across to TJ. I will have surgery in a hospital and be
there 3 days. Then I will move to a recovery condo for 2 days, with nurses and doctors checking on me. I will have 2 leak tests before I leave. Dr. Illan is my surgeon and just got back from a conference with Dr. Rutledge the surgeon that started the MGB.
I was sent a questionnaire to start with but it was not very long. They have 2 years nutritional support and the surgeon has a Facebook page you can post anytime.
I am super excited and have had many friends go with this group.

@@JapGirl : I am looking into the same at Nicholson. My friend had it done last July. I am worried in the event of complications, what do you do if no one in your town will touch you? Thanks
