I had my surgery on May 25th. Believe me it's been rough, but I've lost 32 pounds in 3 weeks. I can't shake this sick feeling. What really makes me nervous is , when I start eating real food, I'm so scared , I'm going to do something wrong. It's not been an easy 3 weeks , I really need to get back to normal again. This is what I was told to follow... I've been on an emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes I cry for no reason. My Dr said it was normal, that I went through a major surgery, on narcotics and anaesthesia . Our families don't understand what we are going through right now. I'm almost 3 weeks post-op, my children are all grown, but I have my oldest and my youngest to help me through. Just talk to them, explain to them how you're feeling. You also have all of us here to listen and help you the best way we can. Hope this helps. My surgery is May 25 , 2016. My daughter doesn't want me to have this surgery done. And I've almost changed my mind. Thing I can do this on my own , which I have failed . One of my son's said , 'you've always wanted this, it's a fresh start , do it for you, don't listen to anyone else'. So I'm getting my gastric bypass, and I'm looking forward to my new life. I was approved for surgery on May 25th 2016. I'm nervous, but excited . My daughter says I don't need it, I can lose it on my own. But she doesn't have to give herself insulin shots every single day. But I am going to have surgery. I have health issues. And getting surgery will give me the tools I need to be healthy. The only thing I worry about is hanging skin.
