I tried some carbonation after 6months, I had a small beer in holidays, a white one so it would not be too heavily carbonated. It didn't feel bad but it took me a long time to drink it...
I never loved sodas or sparkling Water so I didn't feel the need to try those again. I tried a sip of "champagne" at a wedding and it felt plain horrible.

Each year one my sister, my grandma and I have this small ritual where we go up to Brussels and walk around to visit the Christmas market and also buy the last Christmas gifts, and I have pictures from last year before the surgery and a picture of yesterday.

Graduation day for the second time! 93 pound difference, 7 months post op.

So this was me, circa November 2015, picture taken against my will by a friend, he sent this to me this morning, had no clue it existed.

And this is me this morning. I have lost 105pounds so far.

9 months after getting sleeved, I just hit a pretty important milestone (for "metric" people) for I have indeed lost 50kilos!! (which roughly translates to 110,5pounds). I am really happy about the results, my lifestyle habits have changed for the best and I am so very glad I have reached more than my goal in less than a year, I know I'll have to stay focus and do my best to stay this way, but right now I am so glad I did it. Cheers everyone

Wow you guys are mean. It's her dad. He's nervous for her. But I do agree you're an adult. And you know what's best for you listen to what he says but also know that those numbers aren't real. I worked on the drug study a few years back and they literally had to put in the morning that there was a chance of getting hit by a bus while taking the medication because 3 study participants we're sitting at a bus stop and a bus hit them. They had to go through lots of litigation to get that removed. So do what's best for you. But I don't see a whole lot of people on here saying how terrible it move it was for them.

Just getting back on track after a year of not losing. I'm in the middle of a dramatic re-boot. (14.4 lbs lost in 8 days! Woo!) I'm about 2 years out. My anniversary is on Dec 17th! Here are some before/during shots!

Unless your husband or mother absolutely wants to, it's not really useful at night, I personnaly dozed off between trance-like waking moments when the nurses would check on me and horrid nonsensical nightmares!
But it was nice to have family visits during the day though

Just do what you want, if they are your true friends, they will be happy for you, happy about the results you will have. If they are not, if they still tell you you took the easy way out, that you could have just stop eating (as if it was easy to tell change your way of living so brutally), maybe they didn't want you any good since the very beginning...
I did not tell any of my friends. Two weeks after the surgery I started to visit them again (was starting to receive calls like "dude, where are you, we haven't seen you in a while) and told them... Some of them were sad I didn't put them in the confidence but some have admitted they would have tried to hold me back on the surgery decision.
In the end, all of them are glad for me and I kept most of my friends

I was sleeved on Sep. 19, 2016 and I can wear my rings again!

I haven't uploaded photos before, so I'm hoping I've done it right! Green shirt photos were the day I came home after surgery, so 3 days post op and 360 lbs. the black shirt photos were end of October 2016. I've lost 95 lbs. The face shot in the green shirt I was at my heaviest of 388 lbs. The difference in my face astounds me. I still have a long way to go, but I am thrilled with how far I've come in in just under 7 months.
Yes, my bathroom mirror needs a good cleaning. Sorry

My shoe size went back down from an 11 to a 10 which is very exciting for me!

I have some loose skin on my tummy, and under my arms, my butt and thighs are also kinda saggy, but I'm working on those now with some kettlebell workouts.
