Banded 9/10/08 dont feel port
I have been banded for over 5 months now and am down over 80 lbs but still cant find mine. I was convinced I felt it to the left of my belly button after sugery. To my surprise, its actually to the right of it. Atleast I know because this is where my doc puts the needles for my fills. I am at 243, so I am thinking that hopefully another 10-20lbs and I will be able to feel it for myself. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

Anyone Used the Weight Loss Surgery Doctors at NYU??
I had surgery on 5/23 at NYU and was operated on by Dr. George Fielding. He's my hero!!! Office is frantic and always packed but well worth it for the class of surgeons like Fielding, Ren and Kurian. I love my surgeon but know that they are all great.

I could only sleep on my back with tons of pillows for the first week, week and a half after surgery but once I all the pain was gone I was able to go right back to sleeping on my side and belly.- 2008 National Lap-Band Conference
K, I know I am arriving really late in the game here, but I didnt really look into the conference much since I knew it would be in TX and I live in NY and I just couldnt have taken time off from work recently. Anyways, I saw in the last few pages of postings that there may be one upcoming in NY! How can I find out more about this???? I am super excited!- NSV Thread for the May Bandsters!

Help! I am having the same problem. And I have fine hair to begin with! I thought about taking over the counter pre-natal vitamins because when I was on them while I was preggers my hair looked great! Any thoughts, anyone?- Worried-People Trying To Talk Me Out of Surgery
Yup, there will always be someone to try to talk you out of things you may want to do in life. I just turned 26 in july and was banded 2 months prior. My mom was super supportive but my hubby wasnt at first. He was worried that something would happen to me. At the end of it all, I had to make the right decision for myself, by myself. You will too. GOOD LUCK!!!- Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY

 LOL! :dita:- Hair Salon Tipping..how much?
Its so funny I just came across this because I literally just hung up w/ my stylist after scheduling an appointment for a cut today. Anyway, my cut costs $40, and I usually leave a $5 tip. I dont know what the 'proper' amount is but thats what I leave. If I had color of somehting, I'd probably give more.- What has been your biggest food sacrifices

Kiki- I feel your pain!!! I have gone from a 46DD, sometimes even a 44DDD to a 38D!! My poor boobies have deflated. I guess I knew that they never stood a chance, anytime I lose weight they are the first to go...I better start saving for some new ones!- Halloween Ideas...
I can't wait to wear something like this....- Ladies - What Size Clothes to Cross Your Legs?
OK, so I was sitting in a two hour meeting yesterday, and didn't think about it, but just crossed my legs! Havent done that in years and I am down to a size 18.- NSV Thread for the May Bandsters!
I am trying not to buy too many casual clothes, but I have to look decent for work. My pants are getting so big that I cant stand it anymore. So I went to Kohls looking for affordable work wear and guess what!?! I am in a 18 now! Teens!- Weigh in... how much have u lost?
I am down 70 lbs today!!!:rolleyes2:- Meeting Men
I have been married for six years now, but I met alot of my ex's and even my now hubby thru mutual friends. If you are moving to an area where you dont know anyone, I'd check the PA thread on LBT to see who you might meet and make friends with. Ya never know. :lovechoc:- Nipple piercing
K, can I just say that three days ago (before seeing this post) I was telling DH about wanting mine pierced too! Thinking about it, I decided that I will def need my boobies worked on - yes, being just alomst 70lbs down with alot still to go I can totally tell- so I will wait. I have to say FF, hearing that you have had them done for a few years and one still hurts has scared me though!!!:lovechoc:- Husband overweight and jealous
I am going through something similar. My hubby has been moody lately and is making comments about him feeling/being fat. He is very much apple shaped, where he has lean arms and legs and carries his weight in his belly. He is trying to lose weight, but not in a healthy way. He will eat only one meal a day sometimes, or spend a few hours a day in the gym. I keep trying to explain that he cant go about it that way, but he doesnt want to hear it. I have talked to my mom about it and she thinks he is just insecure. I asked him if hes up to going to counceling but he says no. So really, I dont have any good advice for you since I am in the same boat with no solutions, but I wanted to share so you know you are not alone. Good Luck!- Restricted foods that you can't live without?
Before surgery I was warned about all of the things I wont be able to eat- dry chicken breast, steak, etc, etc. I knew that even though I love a good steak I can live without it but...I love seafood! Fish alone- not so much. My doc says that I wont be able to have lobster or shrimp for a while since it can be rubbery sometimes, and to stay far away from Calamari forever. This I can deal with the calamari, but I am wondering if anyone has had successfully had shrimp or lobster since being banded. Of course, its not something I will have regularly but I miss it! - Sleeping Positions
