  1. For the last few years I have made the trek back home to visit my family. Last summer I was an emotional and physical mess. I looked horrible, felt horrible and really didn't want to go because I was so ashamed of the way I was. This summer, almost five months out from my surgery (febuary 8) and about 75 pounds down, I made the trip. While I was there I lost more and even rode bumper cars and go karts. I wouldn't have fit in either one last year. My dad just kept saying that I could do so much more than I did last year. He's right, I can. As I close in on my first hundred pounds gone and I get back into the swing of things on the homefront, I keep thinking about the evolving me...I really am doing it and I'm going to whatever it takes to get to my goal of 140 (started this at 344). Current weight is 253! Sent from my SM-P900 using the BariatricPal App
  2. So I was sleeved on Feb 8th and had been losing well down from 344 to 264 then 4 weeks ago it just stopped. I have stayed within the same three pound range. I am not eating differently and I am moving more. The only thing I am losing is hair which is coming out by the handfuls. Please give me some advice! Thanks! 4. I am craving noodles. This is the first time I have really wanted anything. Have any of you eaten Shira Taki noodles? They are zero everything basically. I would make a peanut sauce and put in some chicken. I would probably eat one bite lol. Sent from my SM-P900 using the BariatricPal App

    Puréed stage questions

Progresso cheese chicken enchilada soup ( the light one) with a soup of unflavored Protein powder pureed in the blender and the heated slowly was my go to food. I still have it at 4 months out, just no blending now. Sent from my SM-P900 using the BariatricPal App

  7. For me, I have told people that I was planning on, then having, then recovering from the surgery. I figured I was huge to begin with (344 at the start )so at some point people would notice a difference. I am four months out and 77 pounds lighter and I do indeed look different...still big but not as much. Personally I don't care if people think I took the easy way out or whatever hogwash they have heard. It's not easy...I th I nk especially not when you have a family to run, but I digress. Tell who you want, or don't. Make up crazy stories if you want like you are on a pinecone and ice cream diet and it's amazing, or don't. It's your body, your health, you are what matters, to heck with them. Sent from my SM-P900 using the BariatricPal App

    4 month dr. Appt tomorrow

Dr. Was happy with my loss. Official office sale said 269. I was happy too. Dr says don't eat unless I am hungry...lol. I haven't been hungry except for one time since surgery. Sent from my SM-P900 using the BariatricPal App
  10. So I go tomorrow. At my last appt my dr wanted me to be in the 275 range. I am weighing at about 268 on my home scale. I am really nervous about this appt. I had really wanted to be down more, but it is what it is. I get my Water and Protein in, I walk. I started at 344 in Sept. Did the 6 months my insurance requires and was 321 on surgery day (Feb. 8). 11. Hi all, I am 3 months two weeks out from VSG. I have had no problems except the dreaded "c". The last week nothing has had any flavor. I eat to get my Protein in but could really care less about doing so. I have been very thirsty. My weight loss is steady, not impressive but steady. I started at hw of 344, day of surgery 321 today 269. Has this happened to anyone else? Sent from my SM-P900 using the BariatricPal App
  12. Hi all, I had my surgery on 2/8/16 and was losing well and not having any troubles. I went for my one month checkup and had only lost 8 pounds from my previous visit (at one week post op). I started at 344, lost to 325 prior to surgery, and have now been stuck at 297 ish. My surgeon says to only eat when I am hungry. ..not a problem since I don't really feel hungry. I can handle a 5 Oz container of yogurt and a fourth to half a cup of Soups, cottage cheese and refried Beans. I was finally able to eat a scrambled egg two days ago. I do low impact aerobics and walk. I plan to start Water aerobics and swimming next week now that I am cleared to. What am I doing wrong??? Sent from my SM-P900 using the BariatricPal App
