    Nothing tastes good

I am 3 weeks too and I don't have an appetite. If I eat a Jello cup, I can't squeeze in the last bite. I know this is only temporary so I am eating the jello, popsicles and broth. I did just try Greek yogurt yesterday and a half cup of tomato Soup watered down. I think you and I only have this for a short time before we want things that we can't have. I am loving the baggy clothes and as long as I take my Vitamins and I got a few good drink mixes from bariatric pal, I am good for now. How do you feel? VSG & autoimmune diseases?

Hi, I have a neurological disorder called CRPS and I have been really hit hard with pain since 2011. The pain in my feet had doctors increase medications which resulted in a 50+ pound weight gain. I know I am so lucky to be in a position to slow down, not work and focus on aggressive treatments but the extra pounds were really causing the pain in my feet worse. I had elevated blood pressure and sleep apnea. Happy to say that after my surgery on Mar 29, Mt apnea and blood pressure have normalized. Too soon to tell how much of my chronic pain will be affected but just loosing weight alone will be a huge start! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

    BCBS Insurance/attorney question

@lisa1986. I am so excited to get out and try to engage in life. I know that this is only a tool but I have not had so much hope in a very long time. I checked out of the hospital and my blood pressure had already changed back to the level I had prior to my doctor prescribed drug induced weight gain. This is game changer! In life, it's been my experience that you never regret what you do..only regret what you don't do...best of luck to you Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

My doctor said that due to the high success rates that the medical community and insurance companies are looking to lower the big qualifications. Great results really are going to make that change happen as the insurance companies will save money! Good luck to you. .had my sleeve 6 days ago and I have never felt so much hope! BCBS Insurance/attorney question

Just so you know, I have BCBS in California. It was approved within 1 week. I had 29 days between my consult and sleeve procedure. I had mine 4 days ago. I stayed 3 nights in the hospital and the whole thing was that I couldn't pee. I came home with a cathadure bag. All is good. Not much pain and I walked my rear off down the hospital hallway. Friends and Family?!

Yes, people have an opinion about WLS. I told my closest family but they were happy for me because they had this procedure. I think some people don't know information on the procedure and it seems like women especially get not jea6, but maybe worried about how your new self will fit into your relationship. Eating after surgery

Yeah...fast food can be really tricky...I would suggest just the beef but taco bell has really gross additives in the meat. Google it Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

First consultation in 2 days! Help

My experience was really smooth. I met the doctor after my vitals and weight were done. He showed me the different procedures and suggested the sleeve. They turned in the preapproval and I went to the psych evaluation the next day. Within a week I was approved and the scheduled my surgery in 2 weeks time. My whole process was 29 days from consult to sugury. Good luck...you know that you want to make this lifestyle change so you will be fine! I have surgery in 4 days....whoo hooo! What Y'all Think- VI

So this is such an important topic. I only told my parents (both had WLS ), hubby and 3 best friends. My dad accidentally told a family friend who told their wife and sister and they quickly called my mom to voice their negative opinion. I think that some people either have not had the same struggle or are too scared to take this massive step. I was told that I was ruining the rest of my life but I actually feel the opposite. I am doing what I have to so that I can live longer and check back into all of the fun events and family around me. Opinions are like ASS HOLES. ..everyone has one. Liver shrinking diet.. Help!

It takes your brain 3 weeks to adjust to a new normal...you can totally do this if you keep your goal in mind. I think that you will be so happy that you did this for yourself. Hard work now will make it that much easier afterwards. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
