I was sleeved one day after you (03/01/16) and was able to go the tiniest amount last night. I'm going to incorporate a small amount of Miralax into my diet because I don't want to strain as much.

I only had to liquid diet 2 days B4 my surgery. After surgery I could only sponge my mouth with cold Water for 24hrs until I had my leak test performed. They wouldn't even let me have ice cubes. That had to be one of the worst part for me. It's right up there with the pain. After I got the leak test done and passed they served me broth, tea, and Jello. After staying 2 days at tufts I came home on the phase 3 diet which is still basically liquid. It's easier now for me tho because I have no appetite. No dont I truly appreciate it. I'm partially scared to go for the first time cause idk if my exit even works the same. [emoji23] but I will keep. All of this in mind. I purchased some smoove move tea my 1st Day home to keep on standby and I'm wondering should I start taking it, or is it normal not to go within the 1st wk home. When did u actually pass your first bowel movement after surgery?

Honestly today is the 2nd non chemically induced poo in a couple of weeks, anything before that not so much since surgery. I stopped all the internal meds for movement and even the probotic weeks ago because they caused so much cramping etc and still didn't work. I have been using suppositories twice a week up till the past two weeks. I was so excited today, there was dancing and singing. I also added 1 oz of either pecans or cashews everyday to help with the process.

So I'm saying I feel your pain!!

It took my body almost 2 weeks to get back on track. Now I only void every other day. That's my new normal

I have locked myself in my room and I hate everyone in my house. I'm still on this stupid liquid diet and why oh why do they bring home my favorite takeout. And they expect me to sit at the table and do what? Look at them eat?
