    Removal due to slippage

I had my band removed in august, revised to a sleeve. The sleeve is SO much better and I don't have the pain and vomiting I had with the band. I'm already down to a size 6

    Sleeve or lap band

I had a band and was just revised to the sleeve in Aug. I had nothing but bad luck and suffering with the band. Even my surgeon said the band is a terrible surgery and I had so much scar tissue for just having the band 2 years.

    Help :-/

Tell them you have bad heartburn or reflux or tell them you're just doing a special diet and don't want to mess it up
  9. I was sleeved August 8 (band to sleeve revision) 280 hw I was 220 day of surgery I'm 165 now
  10. Good thing that if there is any significant pain, it'll eventually subside and go away! I can't expect to be totally pain free. 80% of my stomach is getting cut out! Thanks for your response! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App No problem, good luck!
  11. I'm a lap band to sleeve conversion and honestly I had more pain with the lap band. The sleeve was no walk in the park for me either, but the lap band was unbearable. It really does vary from one person to the next but if you didn't have a hard time with the lap band, you have a good chance of having a fairly easy recovery with sleeve
  12. You look much younger now! Great job!

  14. I didn't need much, I was really out of it and the hospital gives you mostly everything. I did bring an abdominal binder which was lifesaving to me cuz my abdomen was very sore

2nd Failed Band, Time for a Sleeve!

Good luck! I'm a band to sleeve revision but I had mine done here in the states. I'm also hypothyroid and it was the hardest to lose weight, even with the band. The sleeve is so much different. I wish you the best in your journey
  16. 21 lbs the first month, I was a revision lap band to sleeve

    Tightening skin?

For the benefits of both. I don't like the texture of re oil alone and it seems to soak in better mixed with the lotion. I also sometimes mix lubriderm in it as well *the oil alone. Sorry typo

No leak test - self pay

My surgeon didn't do a post op leak test either, and he's won awards worldwide for bariatric surgery and is the head of a center of excellence. I may be mistaken, but I believe some surgeons check for leaks in surgery
