  1. Happy 32nd Birthday arde07!

  2. Happy 31st Birthday arde07!

  3. I too loved my diet coke. It was not hard for me to give it up. I had surgery 10 mths ago and have just now been brave enough to try soda again. DON'T DO IT! It is so not worth the discomfort. The bloating in my abdomen is miserable! And I am still experiencing it even though I am not drinking soda. All was fine until the dreaded soda! It has no nutritional value either - so just ditch it and don't look back! Try the crystal light in your water. That stuff is great!

    Therapist and Dietitian

Hi there. I had my surgery three hours from where I live. I was blessed and was able to see the psych, dietician, exercise consultant, and my initial exam all on the same day. I only had to see the psych once and the dietician once before the surgery. I have seen the dietician an additional time since surgery. Whatever driving you have to do - it is worth it.
  5. WOW! That is a very good question! Of course if you were able to eat the way people with bands eat, you would lose the weight just the same. But for some of us (me) we lack the self-control needed. It is hard to remember food is a necessity - not a pleasure. For me eating has always been a pleasure! I am with lisah25. I still have a hard time making healthy choices, but I am literally unable to eat the way I used to. If I had the self-control I should have, I would have never needed the band. Make your husband aware of the risks of the surgery, compared to the risks of living with diabetes. The success of your surgery is up to YOU! Good luck!

I am new - in Texas

I am sure you will have great success! Follow dr.'s orders and you can't go wrong! I remember my first fill - no problems AT ALL! I was very worried about it hurting when they did the fill. Much to my relief, I was still numb from the surgery and didn't feel a thing! WOHOO! Now, I am not so lucky! I do feel it, but it is not that bad. Well, well worth the results! Good luck to ya!

    February Exercise Challege

Okay guys - I am on board with working my butt off this month - if ya got room for one more. I have lost all motivation for exercise since the holidays and I am ready to jump back into it. I have lost 102 lbs, and I have 30 more pounds to lose for goal. Let's see if I can't drop 10 of them this month!
