Hello, I haven't been on the site for awhile and wanted to post my progress.
As my last post said I still had my drain, well it was removed two days after that post. I feel great and I'm down 45 lbs so far. I'm on soft foods and I haven't had any trouble with any food so far.
I hear a lot of people talking about the three week stall and I'm happy to say I didn't have one. I'm 5 weeks out and 2 weeks of a liquid diet pre-op and loosing every week.
I'm off of 7 meds and no more shots for sugar.........
This is the best thing I ever did for me!!!!

Hey everyone
I was sleeved on 3-10-16 and I still have my drain. I have to see my Dr tomorrow and see what's going on. The good news is I did the 14 day liquid diet, started on 2-25-16 and to date I have list 24 pounds. I hope we the dr can find out where I'm bleeding and get this drain out.

I had my surgery on March 10th. I had to do a 14 day liquid diet not to exceed 900 calories a day. I lost 16.5 pounds before my surgery. Everything went great, home in 2 days and not needing any pain meds at home.

What Inner Surfer Girl said. Between pre and postop I was on liquids for 34 days. 2 years and 100 pounds later it is a faraway memory and well worth it.
......Although actually it's not such a faraway memory. I've put myself on the liquid Protein diet a couple times in the last several months in order to drop a few excess pounds when they creep on (as pounds will do when you are in maintenance). Turns out it's just one more effective weapon in our never ending war against obesity. So in @@Inner Surfer Girl 's words, "Embrace the Liquid Preop Diet"
